Start the summer holidays well by being baptised!
If you call yourself a Christian, having made the decision to follow Jesus, then we want to encourage you to be baptised as your next step.

The Bible simply says 'believe and be baptised'. You don't have to have your life all together and perfect. You don't need to know everything there is to know about faith or the Bible. You simply need to decide to follow Jesus.

As part of the Sunday on 19th July meetings (across all sites), we are giving you the opportunity to be baptised. We'd love to hear your story of how you met Jesus and the impact he is having on your life.

Sign up via our Baptism page on the Kerith website today, and we'll help you prepare for this special day.

Today is World Environment Day 🌍💚
Established by the United Nations in 1972, World Environment Day is a global reminder that caring for our planet matters — and that together we can take action for a healthier, more sustainable future.
At Kerith Community Church, we believe caring for creation is part of our calling and worship. That’s why we publicly declared a climate and environmental emergency, committing ourselves to prayer, action, learning, and long-term change.
We’re so grateful for our incredible Creation Care & Justice Team who help lead this vision across Kerith — encouraging practical action, sustainability, education, and advocacy throughout our church community.
From supporting Tearfund’s “Trash to Cash” project in Nigeria, to running our Creation Care Course, achieving Eco Church Bronze Awards across multiple sites, and publishing our annual Energy & Carbon Report, we’re committed to growing in how we care for God’s creation.
This World Environment Day, we’re praying for wisdom, courage, and collective action as we continue learning how to love both people and the planet well. 🌱

📚 June Book of the Month 📚

Each month this year, we’ll be sharing a book recommendation from someone in our community. We hope these picks inspire, encourage, and help you discover some amazing reads!

This month, Simon Benham recommends – A Grace Disguised by Jerry Sitser.

“For my book recommendation, I’m going to recommend A Grace Disguised by Jerry Sittser - a professor in the department of theology at Whitworth University in the United States.

I came across Jerry when my Mum died, and I was struggling to process my grief. During that time, I came across his book A Grace Disguised, in which he tells of his journey of grief and loss after the death of his mother, wife and one of his children in a car crash.

Although my experience paled in comparison to his, his brutal honesty about his feelings and his questions in the face of his loss gave voice to much of what I was going through. I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone walking through grief.

In 2024, Heather Pocock and I had the privilege of recording two interviews with Jerry, where he talked about his experience and his reflections now as he looks back several years later. You can watch that conversation on the Kerith Community Church YouTube channel. Finally, I want to note that our involvement with Jerry doesn’t end there. In Windsor, Leon and the team are pioneering a discipleship course called Catechumenate, which Jerry has written. What a gift he has been and continues to be to our community.”

Stay tuned for more great suggestions throughout 2026! 📖✨

It’s Volunteers’ Week! 🎉

From 1st–7th June, we’re celebrating the incredible people who make such a difference across our church and communities.

At Kerith Community Church, it takes an army of volunteers to help people find their way back to God — and we are so thankful for every person who gives their time, energy, creativity, encouragement, and heart to serve others.

Whether you’re welcoming people on a Sunday, supporting children and young people, serving local schools and communities, helping behind the scenes in production or worship, creating digital content, serving refreshments, praying with others, or making things happen midweek — THANK YOU. ❤️

Volunteers’ Week began in 1984 to recognise the amazing contribution volunteers make across the UK, and this week we want to honour every single member of our volunteer teams who help make Kerith a place of welcome, hope, faith, and community.

You make a difference.
You are valued.
And we couldn’t do it without you.

We are so privileged to have Andy Barrett in the office team as our Social Justice Development Manager. We asked him to tell us a little more about himself and his role on the team.

My name is Andy, and I have been attending Kerith since the launch of the Sandhurst site (now Kerith Farnborough) back in September 2013. I am married to Shari, and together we have two wonderful daughters, Kyra and Hope. Having previously worked within Children Services for around 15 years, I currently have the privilege of working within the Kerith Revive team, helping to develop and manage our Social Justice projects & ministries across all of our sites.

My ideal Saturday would likely start with me spending a bit more time than usual brewing a nice cup of coffee at home and preparing a healthy breakfast. The ideal day would be sunny and involve doing something relaxing with my family, perhaps visiting the coast. It would also involve finding out around 4:50pm that Fulham FC had won that day and Chelsea FC had lost. The day would end with me cooking a BBQ in the garden and maybe watching a film afterwards if time permits.

My favourite part of my job is supporting and empowering the amazing volunteers we have within our Revive projects, without whom we simply couldn’t do what we do as a church. However, my favourite part of my role is when I get the opportunity to have conversations with people accessing our projects that wouldn't normally find themselves perhaps in a church building. I find more often than not, when you give people your time and listen to them, many are actually quite open to faith and over time, their perceptions of church can change. It’s so good when we see people come to church off the back of accessing our Kerith Reive projects midweek and decide to follow Jesus – it makes everything we do so worthwhile!
