What is the purpose of life?

On Sunday, Deacon Joseph reminded us that Jesus Himself gives us the answer:

“Now this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.” — John 17:3

We were created to know God — not simply to know about Him, but to pursue Him, spend time in His Word, seek His presence and grow in relationship with Him.

And as we know Him, our lives should make Him known.

📖 Know God.
🙏🏾 Pursue Him.
✨ Walk in His victory.
🌍 Make Him known.

May our lives carry the fragrance of His knowledge wherever He has placed us.

The meaning of life is to know God and to make Him known.

Praise and worship are powerful spiritual weapons. They break strongholds, shift atmospheres and invite God’s presence and intervention into every battle.

This Sunday, Sis Ruth led us in a powerful time of praise and worship, reminding us that when the praises go up, faith rises, chains are broken and victory belongs to the Lord! 🙌🏾🔥

👑 “Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all!”

What a glorious way to begin today’s service! We gathered with one heart and one voice, lifting high the name of Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords.

May He be crowned Lord over our homes, our families and every area of our lives. 🙌🏾✨

📖 Mark 4:35–41
🎤 Pastor Olu Alabi
📅 9 August 2026

Last Sunday was an unusual service for us at RCCG BVA. For the first time, we had to change both where and when we worshipped.

Pastor Olu reminded us that even in unusual circumstances, 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞. 🙏🏽

In Mark 4, the storm was raging around the disciples, but Jesus was right there in the boat.

𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐲. Whatever you are going through, you will get to the other side.

So how do we experience peace in the middle of the storm?

Stay in God’s Word.

Read it.
Meditate on it.
Live by it.

“Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.”
Psalm 119:165

Pastor reminded us to stop searching for a voice while neglecting the Word God has already given us.

The storm may be raging around you, but it does not have to rage within you.

𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐝, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫.

Is the storm your finances, career, health, marriage, family, children, business or something you have been praying about?

Take it to Jesus, the One who calms storms.

Pastor prayed that whatever challenge we are facing will 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞, and that someone will experience a miracle before the end of this month. 🙌🏽

May the Lord speak 𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐄 over every storm. May He make a way where there appears to be no way. May every unusual situation produce an unusual testimony.

Your journey is to the other side. You will get there safely because Captain Emmanuel is in charge. 🙏🏽❤️

Pastor Olu Alabi is a praying man with a genuine heart for God's people. His passion for the Church is evident in the way he continually stands in the gap, praying and making declarations over our lives.

Last Sunday, he encouraged us through the very first miracle Jesus performed—turning water into w**e. It was a powerful reminder that our God is the One who controls times and seasons. When we choose to trust Him and obey His voice, He can transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. What seems impossible to us is simply another opportunity for God to reveal His glory.

As we step into the 8th month of 2026, we invite you to join us this Thanksgiving Sunday as we come together to thank God for His faithfulness, His provision, His protection, and His unfailing love. There is no better way to begin a new month than in the presence of the One who holds every season of our lives.
