The 49th European Youth Meeting will take place in Lodz, Poland, from 28 December 2026 to 1 January 2027.

At the invitation of local churches of various denominations, thousands of young people from across Europe, aged 18 to 35, will gather for a time of prayer, reflection, and community. In a spirit of celebration and friendship, the city of Lodz will open its doors to pilgrims seeking a deeper experience of faith and solidarity.

A group of students and young adults from Lutheran, Roman Catholic, Anglican, and Orthodox churches from Leeds & Nottingham came together for a truly ecumenical pilgrimage to Taizé this summer:

In the early hours of July 19th, eighteen pilgrims, led by Rev. Joseph Nelson, departed from the Lutheran Church House in Headingley, bound for the French ecumenical monastic community of Taizé.
