Les liens de notre Institut avec les Pères des Missions Etrangères de Paris datent de nos origines. C’est le Père Tiberge, leur supérieur qui a acheté, pour nous, notre première maison à Paris, il y a plus de 300 ans. Nous y demeurons encore. Ce sont eux qui en 1851 nous ont lancé avec eux dans la grande aventure missionnaire en Asie. Et cette aventure se poursuit aujourd’hui.
Nous étions heureuses de fêter avec eux ce dimanche l’anniversaire de l’ordination du P Landry avec qui nous avions eu la joie de célébrer l’Eucharistie à Rome au cours de notre Chapitre Général

5th June 2026, MADIKA in Rancangan Belia, Sabah has Celebrated Kaamatan with joy, faith, and culture, with their wonderful parents, parishioners, children, and teachers!

The celebration began with prayer led by Catechist Joseph Edward, reflecting on Mark 10:14 - Let the children come to me, do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God- the prayer set a grounded tone for this year’s core themes: giving thanks for the harvest, deeply appreciating cultural heritage, and strengthening faith in Christ.

They also celebrated two amazing milestones: 30 years of MADIKA Diocese of Keningau and 7 years Madika in Rancangan Belia! Chairperson Ms. Felicia and Coordinator Sr. Emily IJs thanked the community for their support and reminded them to prioritize God and cherish their children.

The celebration truly came alive through music, dance, and fellowship. The highlights of the day included:

Cultural Dances: Beautiful performances of the Sumazau, Joget, and Sugandoi by the talented children.

Community Dance: A lively Poco-Poco performance by the mothers that got everyone smiling.

Fellowship: A wonderful shared potluck meal, fostering a deeper sense of family.

Praise and thanks be to God—the celebration ran smoothly from start to finish and left everyone filled with joy and gratitude.

El fin de semana de Pentecostés nos hemos reunido en Madrid 14 religiosas del Niño Jesús con la ayuda de Marian Murcia, religiosa de la Sagrada Familia de Burdeos. Hemos reflexionado juntas las preguntas enviadas por el Consejo Central sobre “las estructuras de Gobierno” y “el Camino con los laicos” para preparar el próximo Consejo de Instituto. Han sido días de alegría por encontrarnos de nuevo, de escucha entre nosotras, abriéndonos al Espíritu para que Él sea el protagonista de nuestras búsquedas, de nuestro caminar y de nuestra vida.

Today, as we remember Blessed Nicolas Barré, we are invited to ask ourselves a simple question: Whose life am I helping to brighten?

He saw beyond poverty, limitations, and circumstances. He saw the beauty and potential that God had placed in every child. With a heart full of faith, he chose to trust, to serve, and to love without counting the cost.

In a world that can often be hurried and divided, his life reminds us that the smallest acts of kindness, encouragement, and compassion can change a life forever.

May Blessed Nicolas Barré inspire us today to notice those who are overlooked, to believe in others when they struggle to believe in themselves, and to be a source of hope wherever we are.
