A Beautiful three in one celebration: Celebrating Mother's day, Teacher's day, & Kaamatan in
IJ Centre, Sook, Sabah

The community came together in a magnificent display of unity and gratitude for a joint celebration honoring Mother’s Day, Teacher’s Day, and the Kaamatan Harvest Festival. With active participation from students, teachers, and parents, the event was a joyful success from start to finish.

Program Highlights:
A Blessed Beginning: The celebration commenced on a soulful note with an opening prayer led by one of the students.

Words of Appreciation: The Chairperson of the PIBG delivered an inspiring speech, setting a tone of deep gratitude and community partnership.

Melodies of Love: Tears and smiles filled the room as moving song tributes were dedicated to our teachers and mothers, featuring touching renditions of "You Raise Me Up" and "Ibu, Engkaulah Ratu Hatiku"( Mother you are the queen of my heart)

Poetic Tributes:

The Primary 1, 2, 3, and 4 students warmed hearts with sweet poems dedicated to all the mothers.

The Primary 4, 5, and Hostel girls took the stage to honor their teachers with dedicated poetry.

Sweet Moments: A joyful cake-cutting ceremony was shared collectively by the mothers and teachers, symbolizing sweetness and shared blessings.

Cultural & Creative Performances:

The kindergarten children stole everyone's hearts with an adorable traditional dance, honoring the Kaamatan spirit.

Not to be outdone, the mothers also took the stage for their very own special performance item!

A Feast of Abundance: Reflecting the true spirit of the Harvest Festival, a massive potluck was held. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the parents, there was an abundance of delicious food for everyone to enjoy.

Capturing the Memory: The wonderful day concluded with a massive group photograph—a perfect snapshot of a united and happy IJ Centre family.

Events like this remind us of how strong a community can be when parents, teachers, and students walk hand-in-hand.

Over the weekend, the Province of Singapore joyfully celebrated the Feast of Pentecost and the Feast of Blessed Nicolas Barré together as one Nicolas Barré Family, Sisters and lay members united in faith, mission, and thanksgiving.

The celebration began with a warm welcome address by our Provincial, Sr Elizabeth Moey, who reminded us of the spirit and values of Blessed Nicolas Barré: trust in Divine Providence, humility, simplicity, compassion, and openness to God’s will.

We were also reminded that the Holy Spirit continues to guide, renew, and strengthen us as we journey together in service and collaboration.

The gathering included a meaningful prayer service, moments of fellowship and reflection, and concluded with a scrumptious tea fellowship filled with joy, friendship, and gratitude.
May the Spirit of Pentecost continue to inspire and bless our mission together.

With hearts filled with gratitude, we welcomed our Superior General, Sr. Marina, to the Jalingo Area, Nigeria, accompanied by Srs. Beatrice and Catherina.
Sr. Catherina, who has faithfully served in Kona, Taraba State for many years, was a special joy to have among us again.

Their presence strengthened us as they shared in our mission and daily realities, offering listening hearts and renewed support.
We are deeply grateful for this encounter and pray for continued blessings upon their leadership and service.
