CHILD OF GOD, DON’T BE THE SACRIFICIAL LAMB FOR EVERYONE
There is a revelation we must learn before life teaches us the hard way: you are not the Saviour of the world. Jesus is.
You can love people deeply.
You can serve faithfully.
You can sacrifice, support, encourage, give, pray and stand in the gap for others. But never lose yourself trying to become the answer to every problem around you.
Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the beginning and the end. You are neither.....
Sometimes, we carry responsibilities God never assigned to us. We exhaust ourselves trying to keep everyone happy, solve everyone's problems and rescue everyone from the consequences of their choices.
But wisdom is knowing where your responsibility ends.
If something happens to you today, life will continue. People will grieve, mourn and remember you for a season, but eventually, the world will move forward. That is not meant to sound harsh. It is meant to liberate you.
Stop living as though everything depends on you.
Do your best, but understand your limits.
Help where you can, but don't destroy yourself helping everyone.
Love people, but don't abandon yourself in the process.
Give, but don't give beyond what God has entrusted to you.
Serve, but don't become a slave to people's expectations.
You are valuable, but you are not indispensable.
There is peace in understanding that you don't have to carry what belongs to God.
Set healthy boundaries. Learn to say NO without guilt. Rest without feeling lazy. Walk away from what God has not called you to carry.
Your life is also a stewardship.
So, do the best you can, be faithful to your assignment, honour God, love people, and know your boundaries.
You are not Jesus.
Let Jesus be Jesus. And allow yourself to simply be who God created you to be.
