Happy Thanksgiving from Germany! We are celebrating today - yes a few days late - as Thursday was a work day for us. We have much to be thankful for! The Lord continues to provide for our family, immediate team and our church planters in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He is a good, loving and powerful Father and we take refuge in Him.
The recent news of variants and mutations of this plague are not ‘news’ to our Father. And, we will not live in fear. Pray today that we, our collective PIONEERS family, made up of 950+ church planters in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, would have opportunity TODAY to testify to our FAITH in Jesus as our solid rock, our sure foundation, our everlasting Father, our only hope, prince of Peace…
He directs the comings and goings of even the most powerful of rulers. Daniel reminds us of God’s sovereignty over our leaders…
“Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding;”

I was recently comforted by psalm 2
“The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying, “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.” He who sits in the heavens laughs…”
Psalm 2:2-4 ESV
Our Father is not laughing at us, He is laughing at rulers who think themselves sovereign, powerful, and almighty. And, we can find peace in that.
We have lots to be thankful for. We have lots to pray for.
