We wanted to communicate to you what to expect for kids ministry over Spring Break and some resources we're excited to provide!
📆KIDS MINISTRY SCHEDULE
When BFA is not in session, we pause our regular rotation of kids min volunteers and open it up to regular and non-regular volunteers to serve, should they have capacity, desire to, and be in town. And the Lord provided a handful of men and women to serve! We won't be providing every class we normally would, and below are what classes we will provide.
--Sunday, 29 March: no kids min classes
--Sunday, 5 April (Easter): no kids min classes
--Sunday, 12 April: nursery, toddlers, and preschool classes only (no KidStuf)
--Sunday, 19 April: all Kids Min classes resume!
🖍️PRAISE PACKS
We have put together Praise Packs for the kids joining us for the main gathering. Praise Packs are designed to help kids engage in worship--not just distract them. This Sunday's packs will include a worship guide, a coloring sheet, crayons, blank paper for drawing, Wikki Stix, and an applesauce pouch. They will be available for pick up in the cafeteria as you enter the service.
👶PLAY AREA
For the younger kids that need more movement, we will be setting up a play area in the back corner of the auditorium to allow parents to be engaged as their little ones move around.
🏠AT HOME LESSONS AVAILABLE
We've also put together simple at home lessons to lead your children through for Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday. The lesson is adapted from our current curriculum to make it easy for parents to jump in and lead their kid(s) through the story of Jesus' triumphal entry and His sacrifice on the cross and resurrection.
While there are optional activities, the core of the lesson requires no supplies- everything is included in the Google doc. So no matter if you are traveling or in town or desire more opportunity to disciple your child through Bible teaching- the lessons can easily be completed. You just need time and a device to view the document!
We just emailed out to the church the link to the at home lessons.
🥚EASTER EGG HUNT
After the service on Easter (5 April), we will have an Easter Egg hunt for the kids! It's meant for 4th graders and younger.
If you have a middle schooler who would like to help set up the Easter egg hunt, have them meet in the BFA Gym at 9:45am on Easter Sunday. After everything is prepped, all will join the main gathering.
Have a blessed Spring Break!
