Today is Medecine Buddha Day 🩵

Through Sangye Menla, we connect to the source of wisdom, compassion and healing for the benefit of all.
As a special exception today at 11:00 am we gather for the online or in-person Sangye Menla practice followed by the protectors. Lhuntrul Rinpoche will honour us with his presence. Join us !

🧘 Silent Meditation Retreat: The Four Foundations of Mindfulness — May 29–June 3 🧘

Join us at the Ripa International Center later this month, where MBSR-certified meditation teacher Geneviève Hamlet will guide us through the study and practice of the Buddhist source of mindfulness - the 'Mahasatipathana Sutta'.

This seminal text explores the ‘Four Foundations of Mindfulness’ - starting with the mindfulness of body and feelings, and leading to an investigation of mental states and the nature of phenomena.

Yoga instructor Cathy Pawlik will also lead gentle daily yoga movements that have been adapted for all - preparing the body for sitting and the mind for concentration.

🪷 The retreat will be held in silence, alternating between practices, teaching sessions, and individual or small group interviews.

🌎 It is open to all, although a preliminary interview is recommended for any beginners. It will be held in English, with live translation into French available upon request.

🪷 Nyung Ne Retreat with Lhuntrul Dechen Gyurme Rinpoche — May 24-29 🪷

Nyung Ne is a fasting and purification practice in which participants meditate on compassion - invoking Avalokiteshvara (or Chenrezig) the deity of infinite love and compassion, to alleviate the suffering of all beings.

⭐️ Why participate?
→ Because a single session is equivalent to three months of purification practice.
→ Because even with limited time, lay practitioners can accumulate vast merit.
→ Because it is a precious gift, transmitted by all schools of Buddhism.

Join us for this retreat under the guidance of Lhuntrul Dechen Gyurme Rinpoche, whose introductory explanations will be given in Tibetan and translated into English. Translation into French and German is also available upon request.

Prerequisite:
💎 Having taken refuge in the Three Jewels.

Participation options:
→ Join for the full retreat (recommended) or join for one set (note: first-time practitioners can only join for the first set - May 24-27).
→ Observe the full fast, or a light fast option for those unable to fast completely.

The retreat takes place during the sacred month of Saga Dawa, all participants are invited to stay on for the celebrations at RIC on Sunday 31st May.

Happy Guru Rinpoche Day 🙏✨

Join us this evening at 19:30 (GMT+2), in person or online, for the Guru Rinpoche Tsok Puja, followed by the Protectors practice.

Today we honor Guru Pema Jungne, one of Guru Rinpoche’s eight manifestations. Condemned to be burned alive, he transformed the flames into a sacred lake and appeared seated on a lotus, unharmed, revealing the indestructible nature of awakened mind and transforming fear into devotion.

May his blessings inspire wisdom, compassion, and fearless action for the benefit of all beings. 🙏✨
