When a massive storm hits Jonah's ship, the sailors, hardened men who've seen it all, are terrified.

They're throwing cargo overboard, praying to every god they know, fighting to stay alive.

Meanwhile, the man who caused the storm is below deck, sound asleep, completely disconnected from the chaos above.

The captain shakes him awake: "How can you sleep? Get up and call on your God. Can't you see we're about to die?"

That's the pattern. The people running from what they know is right are often the last to connect the chaos in their life to their own choices. Or the last to admit it.

Our kids, our parents, our friends, they're the first to notice. They will see this before we do.

So we need real relationships. Not surface ones. People who have honest access to our lives, who can say the hard thing when we can't see it ourselves.

Because here's the hard truth: when we need help the most, we'll often want it the least. That's why we can't wait until the storm hits to build the friendships that hold us steady.

Do you want your life to be meaningful?
Do you want to make a difference?

Purpose is what we’re after.
But all of us are prone to coasting,
wandering, and forgetting that.

Some seasons keep us locked into the here and now.
But if we want direction, we need vision.

Israel was literally wandering.
God had already brought them out,
and He was leading them toward the Promised Land.

The problem was fear.
Ten spies saw giants.
Joshua and Caleb saw God’s promise.

Without vision,
we drift.
When we’re aimed at nothing,
that’s what we get.

God’s vision for Joshua was clear.
“I will be with you.”
That changed everything.

So clarify the vision.
Then create the plan.
Then commit to the plan.

What are you really living for?
God is able to do immeasurably more
than all we ask or imagine.
