The women in Jesus' family line had the longest resume of reasons they didn't belong. God doesn't hide that He includes them.

He doesn't do this by accident. God chose them. God invited them. God wanted them. Every one of them was there on purpose.

In His grace, He chooses you too. God's grace invites you into His story.

Maybe you feel like you're too much, or you're not enough, like you'll never measure up. Maybe your story's too messy, your life way too complicated.

But God sees you. He chooses you. He invites you to be His own child, into the family, into what He's doing in the world.

You want to be known as a person of integrity. That means who you are in private matches who you are in public.

For your family and your closest friends, it should make no difference how you live when they're not around.

How you treat people in public has to match how you treat them in private.

What you do in private eventually shapes your public life.

Private decisions eventually make for public outcomes. Resentment, unforgiveness, envy, and jealousy always come out in your relationships.

Think about anybody who's had a big crash in life, a scandal, an affair. All of it started with private decisions.

That leaves one question to sit with: who are you when nobody's watching?

In Ruth 2, we watch God's kindness reach one person.

It doesn't stop there. It goes through that person to reach someone else who needs it.

Paul put it this way in 2 Corinthians 1:4: "who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

When life gets heavy and we're carrying something we can't put down, comfort meets us in the middle.

This is easy to hear wrong, like: you're hurting, so go be a shining light, good luck.

That kind of pressure just stacks more weight on what we're already carrying.

What God offers is rest. He comforts us first, and that comfort is what reaches someone else.

God doesn't wait for the pain to be over. He comforts us right there in the middle.

When pain hits, we feel guilty for feeling it. The grief, the frustration, the bitterness, we just want it gone.

We just wanna be strong. So we say, God is good, it's all gonna be okay, without really believing it in the moment.

There's a different way to process pain, and it has a name: lament. Get it all out honestly instead of burying it.

Start with a pen and paper. Writing it down makes it real, and it keeps you from staying paralyzed by it.

Then ask the honest questions. Where did this come from? What's causing it? Where am I starting to believe lies because of this?

Once it's out, hand it off. Just say, I can't carry all this. I need help with this.

Do this alone, or with a very good friend, because it might get raw. It might even feel wrong. God can handle that.

Your pain isn't going to disappear, but it can be healed in Jesus. He wants to break through everything you're holding inside and start that healing journey with you.

God's desire is for you to walk through change and remain steady in it.

Steady starts when your heart shifts from bitterness to gratitude.

"Why did this happen to me?" becomes "God, thank You for the people You've placed in my life."

Numbness gives way to hope. You start to believe you'll get through this, and God can carry you.

"It won't stay like this forever. My heart won't always feel so heavy. I will learn to love again."

Control loosens into surrender. You stop holding everything so tightly.

Walk through life open-handed, grateful for today, not gripping so hard you miss what God has ahead.

Lean into the change instead of bracing against it. You stay steady through gratitude, hope, and surrender.
