Transcona Christian Reformed Church Our Purpose and Vision
As a community,
Saved by Jesus,
To Glorify God,

We will
· Gather to worship E, then at 6 Kern Drive (1969) and now at 131 Victoria Ave.

Our church began in Transcona in 1953, establishing itself first on Harvard Ave. W. (since 2003) at the retrofitted Shop Easy store that served the Transcona community for so many years. The church was founded primarily by Dutch immigrants leaving the Netherlands after WWII seeking new employment and opportunities. As would be expected, the earliest immigrants attracted other people that they knew

from the Netherlands who were looking for a church family and shared cultural connections. Preaching from the Bible remains central to our worship as we continue to see how the complexities of modern society tend to drive us away from God and we lose our moral compass.

An organization our church partners with is the Resonate Global Missions.

What they do...
Resonate joins with a diverse network of CRCNA congregations and other partners locally and globally. They work to mobilize individuals and communities to participate in God’s mission and work for the spiritual and social transformation of the world. They believe that the Holy Spirit is igniting a global gospel movement and they join in by investing in these three critical strategies; plant churches, send missionaries, and mobilize congregations.

‭‭1 Corinthians 15:54b-57
Then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
