Our hearts are heavy as we hear of the devastating tragedy at CFB Wainwright.
On behalf of our pastors, churches, and congregations across Alberta and the Northwest Territories, we want the families, military personnel, first responders, and entire Wainwright community to know that you are not alone.
We are standing with you in grief, compassion, and prayer.
We are praying for every family impacted by this tragedy, asking God to bring comfort to those who are grieving, healing to those who are hurting, and strength for the difficult days ahead.
We are also praying for the pastors, chaplains, and clergy throughout Wainwright and the surrounding region as they offer care, comfort, and hope to their communities.
Scripture calls us to “weep with those who weep” (Romans 12:15). Today, that is our heart. We don’t pretend to have answers in moments like these, but we want you to know that you are loved, you are not forgotten, and you do not walk through this alone.
Our churches stand ready to pray with you, walk alongside you, and offer support in whatever ways we can.
May the God of all comfort draw near to every hurting heart.
