After baptizing a group of people on Sunday, a young brother came up to me after the service and said with eagerness, “Pastor Harry, when is the next baptism? - I want to be next.”

Following a Bible study on baptism and the inner change it represents — comparing the old with the new, and focusing on the truth of “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” (2 Cor. 5:17) — we had the joy of baptizing Cameron yesterday.

May the Lord bless him in his walk of faith and use his life mightily for His Kingdom. Please remember him in your prayers.

Yesterday was a very special day for our church family in Wetaskiwin—a true celebration! We praise God for the nine individuals who chose to obey the Lord’s command and be baptized. Baptism is an outward expression of the inward work God has done in their lives. By being baptized, they publicly declared their desire to follow Christ wholeheartedly. We rejoice with them and commit ourselves to supporting them through prayer, encouragement, and by setting a Christlike example.

We will be celebrating our 100th Anniversary of the 52nd Street Church of God in Wetaskiwin, 4114 - 52 Street

• Sunday, June 22, 2025
• 10:30 am and 2:30 pm (followed by a meal after each service)

• ⁠It would help us tremendously with the preparation of the meals, if those who are planning to attend, would register either a) via the QR code on the invitation b) by emailing us at [email protected] c) phoning 780.352.4566, or d) using this link http://52stcog.com/register

• ⁠As we’re located in a residential area and will be having a large tent set up for meals on our church parking lot, there will be very limited parking spaces. Safeway has granted us permission to use their parking lot right behind the CO-OP gas station (see sketch). A shuttle service will be provided every 10 minutes.

• Since we expect a great turnout, please leave yourself enough time, as seating in the sanctuary is limited. Additional seating will be available in our fellowship hall via livestream.

• ⁠Your prayer support for a blessed celebration is greatly appreciated!
