Today, we celebrate the Sunday of the Most Holy Trinity. Itโ€™s the mystery of one God present in three Divine Persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This perfect communion of everlasting love fills our lives with grace and unity.

The important lesson for us to remember is that God is a family based on love.

God is the communion of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This mystery is deep and difficult to explain. Love doesnโ€™t exist on its own. It requires relationship and mutual exchange. There arenโ€™t three gods, but only one God.

Humanity is created in the image of God โ€“ a family of love. God is relationship, and we should live in relationship. Love is the base of all human connections, and it comes from God. Our deepest hurts often come from wounded relationships, and our greatest joys come from relationships that are healed.

Today also, some children in our parish celebrated their first Reconciliation. This sacrament is also about love, as God helps them grow in the grace they have received.

Love is not optional. We are invited to make Godโ€™s love visible in our relationships. That can be done by sharing love, forgiving, and opening our hearts to our brothers and sisters in need. That will help us become living images of the Holy Trinity and Godโ€™s presence.

Today, we celebrate Pentecost which marks the end of the Easter season in the liturgical year. Fifty days ago, we reflected on the empty tomb, and now we are strengthened because Jesus has sent the promised Spirit to His apostles.

The first reading shows the disciples gathered in a room with the doors closed. Suddenly, they heard the sound of the wind and tongues of fire appeared over them. They started speaking in different languages, announcing Godโ€™s works to the people in every corner of the world.

The Holy Spirit descended on the disciples to send them on mission and help them preach the Gospel with courage. The same faith was proclaimed in many languages. God gives us one Spirit and one message and from this come many tongues and gifts. We are invited to use different gifts to remain united.

Just as the body needs all its members, we need even the smallest gift, to build unity. We are like the different parts of one body. Every gift from the Spirit is important in building a united community.

Saint Paul explains that there are many gifts that come from the Holy Spirit, and they should be shared with others. We are called to use the gifts wisely to serve God and our neighbours.

In the gospel, Jesus gives the disciples the Holy Spirit and sends them to carry out a ministry of forgiveness and reconciliation. Itโ€™s difficult to forgive, but not impossible. Whenever we forgive our brothers and sisters, we also get forgiveness.

The Spirit comes when we feel uncertain, discouraged, tired in faith. We are called to open our hearts to the Spiritโ€™s renewing power, use our gifts for the good of all, and allow God to restore our lives.

Today, we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord. Jesus is glorified by God, and He is sitting at the right hand of the Father as the head of the Church and Lord of creation.

Jesus finished His mission on earth, and we are called to join in His glory. Christ ascended because through Him humanity has access to heaven. God exalted Jesus because He obeyed Him and followed His will. We need to have hope that we will also be exalted if we obey God and do everything in our power to please Him and go to heaven.

The Ascension means that Christ is not bound by time and space anymore. He is united with God and present everywhere. Jesus is always with us.

Jesus told the Apostles to preach the Gospel to all nations, and today we are invited to do it by the way we live and by loving God and our neighbour. Itโ€™s demanding, but itโ€™s also a privilege.

We should live a Christian life and pray to be the faithful witnesses of God. We have strength to rise from our weaknesses and failures only with God.

In today's Gospel, we heard the important words Jesus spoke to the Apostles during the Last Supper: that if they loved Him, they should keep His commandments.

The commandments Jesus speaks about call us to follow His way of life - to love God and our neighbours. As true Christian disciples, we are called to listen to His words and put them into action.

To be a disciple of Jesus is to love. But love is not a feeling. Love is a way of living. It also means obeying and choosing Christ in all circumstances of our lives.

Some people express their love in words, but deny Jesus by their deeds. Real love should be shown through what we do, not just what we say.

In the world that we live in today, it is difficult to be a disciple of Jesus. Therefore, Jesus gives us the help of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit guides and protects us, comforts and strengthens us, enlightens us and reminds us of everything Jesus taught.

We are called to open our hearts to the Spirit and to pray for the grace to love truly, because love unites us with God and with one another. Love, as the way of every Christian's life, keeps our eyes open and makes Christ visible. When we love, we experience God's presence in our lives, in the poor, in the sacraments and in prayer.

In today's Gospel, Jesus consoles His distressed and frightened disciples. They invested their lives in Him, and now their world seems to be collapsing. The words spoken to the disciples about not letting their hearts be troubled are also addressed to us. We all have problems in life. However, Jesus doesn't leave us alone. He offers Himself and remains with us, in our fears and struggles. He consoles us, just as He did the disciples.

Jesus doesn't promise a life without troubles. Yet, He calls us to believe in God and in Him, and have confidence in times of trial. God is the only one who can transform our difficulties into grace. Jesus gives us His presence, His companionship, and the way, so our hearts shouldn't be troubled and we should never lose hope.

We are called to reflect on Jesus who is the Way, the Truth, the Life, and the perfect image of His Father, especially when we feel spiritually lost:
โ€“ Jesus is the Way โ€“ When we stay in a close relationship with Him, we are on the way. We learn from Him, trust Him, and walk the right path.
โ€“ Jesus is the Truth โ€“ In a world full of confusion and division, Jesus shows us that truth is God's love. To know the truth is to live in Christ and let His light guide us.
โ€“ Jesus is the Life โ€“ He's the source of life on earth and eternal life, a life that is stronger than fear and filled with love. Life grows wherever we welcome Jesus.
โ€“ Jesus is the perfect image of the Father โ€“ In Him, we see God. Through Jesus, God is revealed as the Father of each of us, who loves and forgives us.

Today in our Parish, two young people received the Sacrament of Confirmation. They were given the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit (wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of God) to strengthen their faith and grow in a living relationship with God.

The Gospel shows us the beautiful image of Jesus as the Good Shepherd. He is our shepherd who loves His sheep. He knows us by name and understands our fears, sorrows, and hopes.

The sheep follow the shepherd because they know his voice. Today's world is filled with many voices that can lead us down the wrong paths. Some shepherds are like thieves or bandits, but Jesus who is the Good Shepherd, comes to give life. He wants us to have a good life on earth and attain eternal life. We may live a good life and be religious, but we can't have abundant life without a relationship with God. God alone is the source of all life and being.

We come to God, His mercy, and to eternal life through Jesus, who is the gate of the sheepfold. Jesus protects us, saves us from danger, and leads us to green meadows. Jesus is the way to life. He guides us toward freedom and fullness of life. Through His words and actions, He shows us that God cares for us like a father for his children.
