Ladies, join us on Saturday, November 28 at 2:00pm. The afternoon will begin with a worship service led by women for women. Following the service, we'll enjoy refreshments and fellowship before working together on a project to support the Edmonton Pregnancy Care Centre !

Jesus told his followers, “You will be hated by everyone because of me” (Matthew 10:22). So, the time between Christ’s first and second coming is going to be perilous for believers. A good example: Martin Luther. All that priest wanted was to share the pure gospel with the world. For trying to do just that, both political and religious leaders wanted to end his life. The Festival of the Reformation emphasizes our unfailing reliance on the Word of God. We give unflinching testimony to that Word even in the face of persecution. Today we pray that the Lord would keep us steadfast in the faith.

There are so many different ways to be caught unprepared, and there are so many consequences we inflict on ourselves that could easily be avoided. It's one thing to get a C on a biology project. It's another to have the door of heaven shut to you and hear your God say to you, "I don't know you."

Imagine you are planning to take the family out to dinner. You all have to wait for someone to get ready. Minute after minute passes. What can happen in that situation? It’s easy to focus on something else and even forget the original goal.

As we wait for Christ to return, as day after day passes, it can be easy to get distracted, to lose vigilance, to become spiritually drowsy.

The cartoon character holds a sign saying, “The End Is Near.” For Christians, this is not a message of fear. Instead, it is a message of watchful hope. Scripture teaches that the end times began with Christ’s first coming, especially his death and resurrection. Christ will come again on judgment day. Now we live in that in-between time, when salvation has been won, but full glory is still to come. It’s the beginning of the end.

This Sunday, we begin a new series and learn how God prepares us for “The Beginning of the End.” We invite you to join us for worship!
