Today was a special day as we witnessed the baptism of Jesse Luke, Vicar and Kristin Marquardt's newborn baby, and the confirmation of Kimmy and Aiden. We also enjoyed celebrating Father's Day with fathers both new and seasoned.

May God help us all remember our own baptisms and confirmation vows, and help us live in this world as his redeemed children!

In the First Article of the Apostles’ Creed, we saw all the temporal blessings and protections God gives us in his creation. Now, in the Second Article, we will see how God has also given us himself—specifically “in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.” It would be natural to begin by asking, “Who is Jesus?” But an even better question to ask might be, “What is Jesus?”

Jesus is unlike anything else in all of creation. He is both true God, begotten of the Father from eternity, and also true man, born of the virgin Mary. Jesus had to be both God and man to be your Saviour, and in our worship today we will explore the how and why that go along with what Jesus is.

It's official! Pastor Pete Metzger and Lydia are now proud Canadian citizens. Congratulations!

Pastor Metzger was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin (a very long time ago 😉), and has faithfully served at St. Peter since 2018.

All pastors are a precious gift from our Saviour. We are especially thankful for Pastor Metzger and the faithful way he teaches God's Word. May the Lord continue to bless our ministry, and may Pastor Metzger continue to be a blessing to our congregation for many years to come.

Grow in God’s Word this summer with an online Bible study offered by WELS Women's Ministry!

Despite a separation of thousands of years and miles, we’re much more like them than we first realize. This summer, you’re invited to join Women’s Ministry for an online Bible study focusing on “Our Bible Sisters.” Throughout this five-week series, we’ll look at more than just the heroic actions of biblical women. We’ll also consider how our unchanging God met these flawed, real women in their daily struggles and learn to find his grace, faithfulness, and purpose in our own daily realities. Please join us this summer as we get to know five of our Bible sisters better!

The study is offered twice each week—8:00 a.m. (Central) on Saturday mornings and 7:00 p.m. (Central) on Monday evenings—starting July 11.

When God created the world, he said that all he created was good. It's impossible for us to comprehend what life was like in God's perfect creation. What would life be like with no pain, no sickness, no arguments or hurt feelings, no death, no fear, no car accidents, no broken families, no wars, no murders—nothing to hurt us? Why does our world not look like God's perfect creation?

To find the answer, we must go back to the beginning—to the Garden of Eden and its first and only inhabitants, Adam and Eve. Their story is our story. What took place thousands of years ago helps to explain how the world came to be what it is today.
