Thank you Hampton United for sharing this timely message.
Peace, Blessings and Justice
Rev. Linton

It's Pride Month. But we want to be clear to our friends and family (even the stranger reading this)…we are proud to love you every single day.

This month is our opportunity to be more vocal about it.

We are praying love around you. Around you who have to fight to live the way God made you (which is beautiful); around you who worry about being your authentic self for fear of judgment and persecution; around you who have to fight for a place at the table at school/at work/or at home; around you who have to defend yourself against people who call your gender/sexuality a choice.

I pray you know God loves you and that we, your allies, love you, too. I pray you know that we are here and that you reach out when you need our support. I pray you feel our praying hands holding you when you face trials inwardly (in your own “self”) and out in the world.

God made a wonderful world and you are a wonderful, beautiful part of it. God loves you and we all love you, too. And not a come-and-go kind of love…the forever kind.

Good evening everyone! June is Pride Month.
Peace, Blessings and Justice
Rev. Linton

"God of the Rainbow,
More than those who watch for morning,
Our souls wait, for the day when each of us,
of every gender expression, gender identity, and sexual orientation
knows that we are meant to be:
loved, cherished, and protected; and
that we are to be:
proud of our identities; and
celebrated.

For we are your imperfectly perfect children,
called to reflect Christ’s radiant light,
embody Christ’s radical love; and
build your beloved community,
especially when storms of fear and hatred rage around us.

And so, more than those who watch for morning,
we, in our great diversity,
wait for your promised rainbow of peace,
as we work towards a world where every gender expression, gender identity, and sexual orientation is affirmed as beloved; and,
every soul’s spirit is able to sparkle, shine and sing your dream with pride.

May it be so,

Amen."

Thoughts and prayers for Rev. Jen, Amelia, family and Harmony United.
Peace and blessings
Rev. Linton

"Hearts at Harmony are saddened by the sudden passing of Rev. Jen's husband, Gord Wood. We take solace in knowing that we are not alone and that Rev. Jen, Amelia and their extended family are not alone. We are wrapped in the love and compassion of Jesus who weeps with us in our grief and will provide comfort as the days unfold. May it be so....

We give thanks for all that Gord shared with us; we will miss him greatly. We extend our love and sympathy to Rev. Jen, Amelia, their family and friends.

We welcome back to Harmony, our friend, Rev. Dr. Ian Manson to lead us in worship this coming Sunday."
