🕯️On Monday, November 2 at noon, there will be a special Mass for the commemoration of All the Faithful Departed. Following the Mass, join us at St. Peter’s Cemetery (100 Richmond St., New West) at 1:00 pm for special prayers and a blessing.

As in past years, the Latin Community will be setting up an “Altar of the Dead” display in the Hall over the Oct. 31 - Nov. 1 weekend. This tradition is meant to remind us of the communion that we share with our deceased relatives and is a reminder to pray for them. If you would like to include a photo of your loved one in the display, there will be a box at the entrance of the Church where you can drop off the photo this weekend (no larger than 5x7 inches). Photos can be picked up again at the Monday Nov. 2 Mass or the following weekend.

🇧🇷💍 Brazilian Community Wedding 2027 – St. Peter’s Parish

The Brazilian community at St. Peter’s Parish is organizing a Brazilian Community Wedding for couples who wish to receive the Sacrament of Matrimony. The celebration will take place on May 29, 2027, and will be celebrated in Portuguese by Fr. Nick.

💒 Interested couples can express their interest throughout October by completing the form below. In November, Fr. Nick will meet individually with each couple to guide them through the appropriate process.

The Thanksgiving long weekend is a wonderful opportunity we have each year to remember the many blessings our loving God gives us. This weekend, I am deeply thankful to God for our Parish family and for all who make our community so special. In particular, I want to express my gratitude for our amazing Parish staff and our incredible volunteers. I want to also thank our parishioners for their financial support of our Parish. In the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, we joyfully celebrated his feast day at St. Peter’s with the blessing of our beloved pets.

What a beautiful moment to gather as a community, give thanks for God’s creation, and celebrate the animals who bring so much joy and companionship into our lives.

JOURNEY THROUGH THE PENTATEUCH

Come and discover the richness of the first five books of the Bible! In this series, Fr. Nick will guide us through Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, exploring their great stories and themes, fascinating insights from their historical context, and what these ancient texts still have to say to us today. Talks will be held from 7:00–8:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall: Oct. 2 & 9 – Genesis; Oct. 23 & 30 – Exodus; Nov. 6 – Leviticus & Numbers; Nov. 27 – Deuteronomy. Come to one talk or join us for the whole series —all are welcome
