❤️ May is dedicated to honoring Virgin Mary as a model of faith, humility, and obedience. It is a time to reflect on her “yes” to God, deepen prayer, and imitate her trust in daily life.

THE SANCTUARY COURSE FOR CATHOLICS

Starting Friday, May 8 at 7 pm

Runs for 8 consecutive Fridays in the Parish Hall

Would you value joining others in a conversation about mental health? Would you like to discover what God, Scripture, and the Church have to say in light of the experiences of mental health challenges? Sign up for The Sanctuary Course for Catholics with St. Peter’s. The subject matter feels particularly relevant in these times, and the course creates an opportunity to connect with and support one another in meaningful ways.

The Sanctuary Course for Catholics is an eight-part course for small groups designed to raise awareness and begin conversations in local parishes about mental health. Created in collaboration with Catholic mental health professionals, theologians, and clergy, it offers faith communities an opportunity to learn and to grow in their ability to support those living with mental health challenges. Topics include mental health and mental illness, stigma, recovery, accompaniment, self-care, and community.

The sessions are accompanied by compelling films that feature the stories of Catholics living with mental health challenges, along with insights from archbishops, theologians, and psychologists. The course materials are available as a PDF or as an audiobook if you prefer to listen rather than read. There is no homework, but participants are encouraged to read or listen to the sessions in advance of each meeting.

No noise, no scroll. Just real life. Nature is already praising God. The wind, the sun, the trees, the flowers, all of it points to something bigger.

Pause for a minute. Make you walk a prayer, look around, and be aware of the greatest present of all.

Congratulations on your birthday, Fr. Nick!

Thank you for your hard work, your prayers, and your devotion to our Lord. May this year bring you many blessings.

Do you know that Fr. Nicholas Meisl was baptized at St. Peter’s Parish?

The parishioners of our parish have been preparing their hearts for one of the most sacred moments of their lives.

On May they will receive Jesus in their hearts at the Pentecost Confirmation Mass. It is a moment of faith, and profound grace, when a heart encounters the true presence of Jesus.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS Westminster council 1283, Thank you!

Thank you to the Knights of Columbus for hosting a wonderful Clergy Appreciation Dinner this past Monday! It was a great evening, filled with delicious food, lots of laughter, and great fellowship. So many volunteers worked many hours to make this event such a success. At St. Peter’s we are blessed to have such an active group of Knights of Columbus! Thank you and God bless you and your families! - Fr. Nick
