A Grove is "a small orchard or stand of fruit-bearing trees." This is the perfect definition for what our Wednesday night kids program creates! Children who are in grades 1-5 are invited every week to be a part of The Grove. Our goal is to create a community where kids know they are loved, have friends, are supported, and where the roots of their faith in Jesus grow deep!

In Sprouts and The Orchard, our children follow a three-year curriculum called One Big Story, written at NMBC.

Each year, we journey through the Bible from beginning to end, helping kids see that Scripture is not just a collection of separate stories, but one big story of God’s rescue, redemption, and love. Each Sunday, all the children learn the same Bible story in an age-appropriate way and discover how it connects to the larger story and how "every story points to Jesus!"

September 2026 marks the start of the sixteenth year of One Big Story at NMBC. We are incredibly thankful for the privilege of helping children know the Bible, understand how its stories fit together, and grow up seeing Jesus at the centre of it all. Our prayer is that these foundations will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
