New Minas Baptist Church exists to bring glory to God and advance the Kingdom of Jesus Christ through worship, fellowship, biblical preaching and teaching, evangelism, integral mission, prayer, and spiritual formation. As we prepare to call a new Senior Pastor, we have engaged in a process of communal sharing, listening, and discernment through listening sessions with different groups in our congregation. Across these sessions, we heard gratitude for NMBC as a church family where people are welcomed, cared for, spiritually fed, and encouraged to serve. We also heard a desire to strengthen discipleship, intergenerational connection, pastoral care, mission, worship, and shared ministry leadership.

Vacation Bible Camp is almost here! One More Week!

Our annual Vacation Bible Camp, July 27-30, will be our largest event for kids all year! Last year, over 200 children joined us for four fantastic mornings! Our Vacation Bible Camp is a FREE event for kids from 9am – 1230pm, Monday to Thursday, July 27-20, 2026! VBC will be at New Minas Baptist Church.

We have a few spaces left for Sports Camp at New Minas Baptist Church next week! Kids in grades 1-5 are invited!

Each week, our Sports Camps feature exciting competitions, fun fitness activities, and amazing games! Every camper will have fun while being encouraged to grow physically, socially, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Times: 900am - 1230pm daily.

This Summer at New Minas Baptist Church, we are excited about all the opportunities we have to serve God by loving kids and pointing them to Jesus!

We have 3 weeks of Sports Camps, 1 Drama Camp, our annual Vacation Bible Camp, and our regular Nursery [age 0-2], Sprouts [age 2-5], and Orchard [grades P-5] on Sunday mornings! We need many volunteers to make all of these exciting programs work! We need 4-6 adults and 4-6 teenagers to volunteer each Sunday. At each sports/drama camp, we need 6-8 teenage volunteers. At VBC, we need many volunteers!

On Sunday, June 28, we had a fantastic afternoon together at our Church Picnic! Hot dogs, cotton candy, inflatables, and great conversations! We are so thankful for this incredible multi-generational community God is building here in the valley!

On June 9, 1968, the congregation of New Minas Baptist Church took a large leap of faith.

In order to make room for our growing congregation, growing Sunday School, and growing community, we held a final service in our first building. Soon after, this building would be torn down to make way for a newer, larger building.

Imagine the conviction and faith of a congregation who is committed to the gospel, and not tied to the nostalgia of the past. This is our identity. This is our story. It is an honor to remember the goodness of God and the faith of those people who have gone before.

Hear these words from our original church covenant from 1856:

“We give up ourselves to the Lord Jesus Christ and engage to adhere to Him as the Head of His people in the covenant of grace and rely on Him as our Prophet, Priest and King… praying the Lord (will) prepare and strengthen us for every good work to do His will working in us that which is well pleasing in his sight through Jesus Christ to whom be glory for ever and ever - Amen.”

We are excited about our 2026 NMBC Summer Camps for Kids! During July and August, we have exciting camp opportunities for kids! All of our Summer Camps for Kids will offer fun experiences, dynamic Bible-based devotions, and prayer times… and lots more!

We have three weeks of Sports Camps, a Drama Camp, and our annual Vacation Bible Camp - our most fantastic week of the year for kids!
