Often, when a missionary couple moves to the field, the husband has a formal role, but the role of the wife is to keep things balanced for the family, especially the children. Christiane explains how she needed to make missions feel integrated into their family life.

If you're feeling the call to explore missions, consider a short-term trip. We have two avenues to support your exploration:

➡️ Teamworkers: Supporting the work of commended missions workers through construction assistance and expertise needed to enhance and promote the work of God in practical ways.
4 trips are already planned for 2027. Take a look at msccanada.org/eteams-and-teamworkers/teamworkers/upcoming-teamworker-teams/

➡️ ETeams: Short-term missions opportunities to witness and work for the Lord in English-speaking countries. The focus is on evangelism as well as ministering to the believers who fellowship at local assemblies.
A trip to Moldova is planned for 2027. Learn more at https://msccanada.org/eteams-and-teamworkers/eteams/upcoming-eteams-teams/.

Take a moment to prayerfully consider if the Lord is opening the door for you to join one of these trips in 2027.

Last week, over 300 local Church leaders from Angola and Zambia met near Chavuma, Zambia, for a leadership conference. Phil Barnes (MSC Risk Manager) and Ian Burness (former Missionary in Zambia and former General Director of Echoes International), along with several national speakers, led the sessions.

Marilyn Barnes, Margaret Burness, and MSC Worker Margie (Gould) Kaumba spoke to a conference for local women, which ran concurrently.

While there, they were all able to attend David Croudace’s funeral held at the Chavuma chapel. David was a Missionary in Zambezi, Zambia, for over 60 years and was served by CMML.

During their travels in Zambia, the couples stopped over in Chitokoloki briefly and had a quick visit with some MSC workers. Pictured are Dave and Carrie Wagler, Dr. Andre Truter, with Shawn Markle in the background, and pilot Chris Brundage.

Pray that we would prioritize things the way that God does by seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness.

Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness

Last month, MSC Canada was delighted to host our annual retreat for workers serving Canada’s Indigenous population. Faith Bible Camp in Manitoba provided a beautiful setting for relaxation, equipping sessions and conversations all intended to support those facing the unique challenges of this important work.
