💧Yesterday, we witnessed the beauty of the gospel through two baptisms. In baptism, we celebrate the reality that through faith in Jesus, we are symbolically buried with Christ in His death and raised to walk in new life with Him. What a joy to publicly declare that our lives belong to Him. Congratulations to both on this meaningful step of obedience and faith. We are rejoicing with you!
🙌🏼 We also welcomed Luke Logan to our staff as our Youth & Young Adult Intern. Please give him and his wife Sommer a warm welcome when you see them!
✝️ In his message, Pastor Matt unpacked God’s plan for children, fathers, and work as the Apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 6:1-9. If you missed the message, be sure to listen to the bold preaching on youtube.com/HopeBibleChurchMarkham.
🩷 And to all the mothers and women who spent Mother’s Day with us today, thank you. We see God’s heart reflected in new moms, young moms, moms of teens and older children, moms of married children, and grandmothers. We honour mothers who faithfully worship the Lord, who are devoted to reading His Word, who are prayer warriors, who teach and disciple, who quietly serve behind the scenes, who care for aging parents, and who labour for the gospel locally and globally. We also honour the women who were not with us today because they were serving God elsewhere. We see the mothers walking through storms and valleys with steadfast faith. We see women who trust and wait patiently on the Lord in their struggles. And we see the invisible pain of those who have lost their mothers or loved one.
🙏🏼 Your love, sacrifice, strength, wisdom, gentleness, perseverance, and faithfulness. Your struggles, pain, quiet prayers, unseen tears, and steadfast trust in God through every season. Your life reflects the kindness of Christ and the cross you carry each day as you follow Him. May the Lord strengthen you, sustain you, and fill you with His peace and joy. May you know deeply that whatever you’re going through in the Lord is never in vain, and may Jesus and His grace continue to meet you in every season.
See you next Sunday! 🫡
