Today's Message: “DEADLY POISON”

James 1:19 and 3:1-12

“Quick to listen, slow to speak” (1:19) makes us all stop and think. But James isn’t done. In Chapter 3 he declares that even a wild animal can be tamed, but the tongue cannot. So where’s the good news? You might be surprised.

There's an invitation here for you, and for anyone you've been carrying on your heart.

Joining us are Phil & Judy Bowler, lifelong missionaries serving in West Africa, with a focus on prayer & healing. We'll worship. We'll pray. We'll hear what it really means to be healed, how to pray that prayer, and what it looks like to place it in God's hands and trust His plan.

Bring a friend. Bring family. Come yourself.
Come in faith in Christ.

Today's Message: "WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS"

James 1:1-12, Romans 5:1-8

We’ve all heard it: when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But that’s not so easy when the lemons are a difficult diagnosis, a lost job or a broken relationship. James doesn’t offer a slogan. He tells us to count it all joy, not because trials are good, but because God can use them to build endurance and shape mature faith. Walking through James 1 and Romans 5, we’ll see how God can bring good out of life’s hardest moments. If life has handed you lemons lately, come and be encouraged.

SNEAK PEEK at SUNDAY
We all know the question, “What would Jesus do?”
James, the brother of Jesus, shows us what that can look like in everyday life.

James grew up beside Jesus, doubted Him and then encountered Him risen from the dead. His letter offers practical (and sometimes uncomfortable) wisdom about living like Jesus: finding joy in trials, putting faith into action, using words that heal, humbling ourselves before God, and becoming people of prayer.

Join us for six weeks as we learn not only to hear the Word, but to live it.

Dustin had a plan: go bother some Christians. What he didn’t plan on was meeting God for himself.

In this story, Dustin shares how he and some friends meant to cause trouble became the turning point in his life, and how he came to know God personally.

If you’ve ever been skeptical, curious, or just plain annoyed by Christians, his story might surprise you.

Today's Message: "REMEMBER"

Deuteronomy 8:1-20

Entitlement, self-reliance, and plain old "I forgot" quietly crowd out gratitude.

Moses' answer isn't to try harder.

Israel is standing at the edge of the Promised Land after forty years in the wilderness, and Moses has a warning: when life gets comfortable, it's easy to forget who brought you there. On Thanksgiving Sunday we'll see why gratitude grows out of remembering, and why the good news is that even when we forget God, he never forgets us.
