It’s back! Our next Women’s Night Out will be Monday, Sept 28th at 7pm. Put it on your calendar for the last Monday of every month, September-June! 🗓️

Why make the time to come out with us? It’s a great opportunity to gather with other women and get to know each other, building deep and enriching relationships. Life is better when we share it together.

Sharing a meal brings people together in a way few other things can. Whether you host or attend, taking part in our Guess Who’s Coming to Lunch event is a simple step that can lead to lasting friendships and encouragement. One month away!

EVENT DETAILS

WHEN: Sunday, October 4, 2026, after church (12:30pm)

WHERE: In various homes (or a restaurant)

WHO: Open to all! We do ask that children are accompanied by a guardian.

WHAT: An opportunity to gather and share a meal with others from our church community

COST: Main Meal (hosts), Salad or Dessert (guests), Covering own restaurant meal (if choosing restaurant)

Christmas Eve Service — Get Involved! ✨

Yes, we know—it’s only August! But Christmas will be here before we know it, and we’re already starting to dream about our Christmas Eve services on December 23 (7pm) and December 24 (4pm &7pm).

We’re looking for people who would like to be involved in making our services special, including vocalists and instrumentalists. We’re also exploring the possibility of putting together a small Christmas choir.

There are also lots of ways to be involved beyond music—from reading Scripture, other service elements, welcoming, decoration set up, or other behind-the-scenes roles.

Join us on Saturday September 19 at 12pm for the annual Westheights Corn Roast! This event is a favourite for many. Lunch of BBQ’d burgers, hot dogs, and fresh corn on the cob will be provided.

Settle in around the campfire which overlooks a beautiful forest, enjoying great food and even better company. Forest walks are welcomed!

Welcome Back, Alyssa! 👋

We are excited to welcome Alyssa Colenutt as she eases back into her role as our Director of Student Ministries following her parental leave.

Throughout the month of August, Alyssa will be focusing on preparing for the fall ministry season. As part of her gradual return, she will not yet be keeping regular office hours or leading regular student programming. This time will allow her to reconnect with our volunteer team, plan for the year ahead, and make a healthy transition back into ministry.

We’re grateful to have Alyssa back and look forward to all that God has in store for our students starting this September! 👏

Resource Shelf is Back! 📚

Just outside The Peace Lounge, find our resource shelf with books ready for borrowing. Books will be cycled through so different books will appear on the shelf, so check it out regularly! If you have a book request that you’d like to see, please email [email protected]. The resources can be borrowed through a self check out process.

Resource Check-Out Process 📖

1. Choose a book

2. Fill out the “Book Check Out” slip

3. Put slip in “Resource Check Out” box

4. Enjoy your book

5. When you’ve finished your book, leave it in “Returns” box on shelf. That’s it!

Peace Lounge Is Back! ✌️

The Peace Lounge is open again - a room for those who need a quiet, calmer room during our Sunday gatherings. This can include persons with sensory considerations or hearing concerns, parents with restless children, or other reasons one might need a break. It has a couch and a chair, along with a small rug to sit on for those who prefer to sit on the floor. A TV will be playing the church service via livestream. Check it out near the washrooms on the upper level (to your right when you enter the church).
