Community CRC

Community CRC The goings on of Community Christian Reformed Church in Kitchener, ON. Staying connected to our God, each other and our community.

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God – the only rule for faith and daily living. We believe in the triune God who has revealed Himself as one God in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that all people are sinners and cannot be restored to fellowship with God by any power of their own. We believe that God in love sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to die on t

he cross for our sins; that Jesus rose from the dead and is now our Mediator with the Father, and that He will return visibly on the last day to judge all people. We believe that God will accept all who are really sorry for their sins and who believe that the finished work of Jesus Christ is the only basis of salvation. Community CRC, established in 1948, is a member of the Christian Reformed Church in North America. We are a Christian church whose foundational authority is the Bible. Our roots go back to the sixteen-century Reformation and we subscribe to the Reformed Confessions (Belgic Confession, Canons of Dort, Heidelberg Catechism) as well as the historic Christian Creeds (The Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds). For further information about our beliefs and positions please visit: www.crcna.org/welcome/beliefs.

On Palm Sunday, Jesus entered the city in triumph, but as part of his journey to the cross. The "Hosannas" shouted by the crowd will soon turn to cries of "Crucify!" All are welcome to join us on Good Friday at 10 am as we worship through a Tenebrae service of shadows, silence, and songs, remembering the suffering and death of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But that's not the end of the story. The good news is that Sunday is coming! Worship on Easter Sunday with us at 10 am to sing praise to our risen King, and celebrate the sacrament of the Lord's Supper together.

Due to the icy road conditions and the forecast for additional freezing rain, we have made the decision to cancel tonight’s Ash Wednesday service. The safety of our congregation and community is our priority, and we believe it is best for everyone to remain off the roads under these conditions.

Though we will not be gathering in person, we invite you to take time at home for prayer and reflection as we begin this Lenten journey. Copies of this evening's bulletin will be available for you to take home on Sunday.

Wishing safety for all those travelling on the roads today - hope to see many of you on Sunday.
