Community CRC The goings on of Community Christian Reformed Church in Kitchener, ON. Staying connected to our God, each other and our community.

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God – the only rule for faith and daily living. We believe in the triune God who has revealed Himself as one God in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that all people are sinners and cannot be restored to fellowship with God by any power of their own. We believe that God in love sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to die on the cross for our sins; that Jesus rose from the dead and is now our Mediator with the Father, and that He will return visibly on the last day to judge all people. We believe that God will accept all who are really sorry for their sins and who believe that the finished work of Jesus Christ is the only basis of salvation. Community CRC, established in 1948, is a member of the Christian Reformed Church in North America. We are a Christian church whose foundational authority is the Bible. Our roots go back to the sixteen-century Reformation and we subscribe to the Reformed Confessions (Belgic Confession, Canons of Dort, Heidelberg Catechism) as well as the historic Christian Creeds (The Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds). For further information about our beliefs and positions please visit: www.crcna.org/welcome/beliefs.

Community CRC has sensed that in recent years God is inviting us to participate more fully in God's generous welcome, to be the body of Christ that opens its arms to all people, and makes room at Christ's table. We hope our series "One Bread, One Body" will open hearts and minds to the work of welcoming, and also intensify the hunger for the rewards that come to those who welcome the stranger.

Join us this Sunday at 10 AM to hear God's word and be in fellowship with one another. Have a listen to a song we'll be singing this week called "God Is For Us".

How does God communicate with us? How do we sense what the Holy Spirit is saying to us as individuals and as communities? When we look at the Bible and listen to each other's stories, we see that God is pretty creative in reaching us! This summer we'll be inviting those who bring messages to share how God has spoken, how we learn to listen, and how we can tell the difference between God speaking to us, and our own thoughts. This is called the art of spiritual discernment.

Come join us this Sunday at 10 am as we consider "Discerning God's Voice Through the Poor."
