Today, we honor St. Peter Claver, a servant of Christ whose life became a living testament to the power of compassion, courage, and love.
He chose to stand beside those whom society had forgotten and to serve people who had been stripped of their dignity. He did not simply preach about Christ—he made Christ’s love visible through his presence, his service, and his unwavering care for the suffering.
His life reminds us that holiness is not measured by how much we are seen, but by how much love we are willing to give when no one is watching.
May St. Peter Claver inspire us to see Christ in every person, especially those who are vulnerable, forgotten, or pushed to the margins. May we never be too busy to notice someone who needs kindness, and never too afraid to stand for human dignity.
