FEAST OF STS. SIMON & JUDE, APOSTLES | OCTOBER 28

Two apostles.
Two different stories.
One calling.
One Lord.
One unwavering “Yes.”

Sts. Simon and Jude may not be the most widely remembered among the Apostles, but their lives remind us of something beautiful:

God does not need us to be famous to be faithful.

They followed Jesus, walked with Him, listened to Him, and carried the Gospel into a world that desperately needed hope. They gave their lives not for recognition, but because they had encountered Someone worth everything.

And perhaps that is the invitation for us today.

You may feel unseen.
Your prayers may seem unnoticed.
Your sacrifices may never be applauded.
Your service may happen quietly, away from the spotlight.

But God sees every faithful “yes.”

Sts. Simon and Jude remind us that holiness is often found in the quiet decision to keep following Christ—to keep loving, keep serving, keep believing, and keep trusting even when we cannot see where the road leads.

May we have the courage to say yes when God calls, the faith to remain when life becomes difficult, and the humility to serve even when no one is watching.

Because in the end, it is not about how many people remember our names.

It is about whether our lives helped others remember His. ❤️‍🔥

FEAST OF ST. JOHN PAUL II | OCTOBER 22

“Do not be afraid. Open wide the doors for Christ.”

These were not simply words spoken by a pope.
They were the words of a man who had lived through war, loss, suffering, and uncertainty—and still chose to believe that Christ was greater than every darkness.

St. John Paul II carried the wounds of his generation, but he never allowed suffering to have the final word. Instead, he became a voice of hope for millions, reminding the world that our lives are not defined by fear, pain, or failure—but by the love of God who never abandons us.

He called young people to dream boldly.
He called families to love faithfully.
He called the Church to be courageous.
And he called every heart to open itself completely to Jesus.

His life reminds us that holiness is not reserved for those who live without struggle. It is found in those who continue to say yes to God, even when the road is difficult.

Today, may we carry his message in our own lives:

Do not be afraid.
Open the doors of your heart.
Let Christ enter your wounds, your dreams, your fears, and your future.

Because when we give everything to Him, we discover that we have nothing to fear.

FEAST OF ST. LUKE, EVANGELIST | OCTOBER 18

Some people heal wounds.
Some people tell stories.
And some are called to do both—to become witnesses of a love that can transform a life.

St. Luke was a physician, a companion of St. Paul, and the author of one of the Gospels. But beyond his gifts and profession, he became a messenger of the Good News.

Through his Gospel, we encounter the tender heart of Jesus—the Savior who seeks the lost, welcomes the sinner, lifts up the broken, and never grows tired of showing mercy.

St. Luke reminds us that our gifts are not meant to end with us. Whatever God has placed in our hands—our talents, our profession, our story, our voice—can become an instrument through which someone else encounters Christ.

You may not be called to write a Gospel like Luke.

But you are called to live one.

Let your life tell the story of God's mercy.
Let your words bring hope.
Let your hands serve.
Let your presence point others toward Jesus.

And wherever God sends you, may you never forget the mission:

Go. Proclaim. Heal. Love.

May our lives become living witnesses of the Good News, so that through us, others may discover the love of Christ.

FEAST OF ST. IGNATIUS OF ANTIOCH, BISHOP & MARTYR | OCTOBER 17 🔥

Some lives are remembered because they were long.
Others are remembered because they were completely given to Christ.

St. Ignatius of Antioch walked toward his martyrdom with a heart that had already decided where it belonged. He did not cling to comfort. He did not turn away from suffering. He desired only to remain faithful to Jesus.

On the journey to his death, he wrote with a faith that still speaks across the centuries:

“Allow me to imitate the passion of my God.”

His life reminds us that following Christ is more than a feeling—it is a decision. A decision to love when it costs us. To remain faithful when it is difficult. To choose Christ when the world offers an easier path.

May we have the courage of St. Ignatius:
to love Christ without reservation,
to stand firm in faith,
and to give our lives—not necessarily through great and dramatic moments, but through the daily sacrifices that quietly say,

“Jesus, You are worth everything.” ❤️‍🔥

May our lives become a living witness to the Gospel, and may our hearts never forget the One who gave everything for us.

Five years ago, Rev. Lester C. Evangelista answered the sacred call to the priesthood, offering his life in service to God and His people. Today, we celebrate not only the years that have passed, but the countless prayers, sacrifices, and acts of love that have become part of his beautiful journey of faith.

A priest’s vocation is more than a calling; it is a daily yes to Christ. A yes to serve, to shepherd souls, to celebrate the Holy Eucharist, and to become an instrument of God’s grace in the lives of others.

As we celebrate his 5th Sacerdotal Ordination Anniversary, may the Lord continue to strengthen his heart, renew his spirit, and guide every step of his priestly journey. May Our Blessed Mother accompany him always, and may the love of Christ remain the light that leads him in every season of his ministry.

By the special grace of this blessed occasion, may all who participate in the Jubilee Masses receive the abundant mercy of God and be renewed in faith and holiness.

Some moments call us to stand—not for ourselves, but for those whose voices cannot yet be heard. On October 4, we gathered as one community, united in prayer, faith, and our unwavering commitment to protect the precious gift of life.

With hearts rooted in Christ and hands joined in solidarity, we stood as witnesses to a truth the world must never forget: **every life is sacred, every person has dignity, and every human being deserves to be loved and protected.**

Our presence was more than a gesture. It was a prayer, a testimony of hope, and a reminder that even in a world where the value of life is often questioned, we are called to stand firm in love and compassion.

May the courage we shared that day continue to inspire us long after the gathering has ended. May we never grow weary of defending the vulnerable, speaking for the voiceless, and choosing love in every circumstance.

Because every life is a gift from God. And every life is worth standing for. 🙏💙
