RESTED: Talk 6 — Lord of the Sabbath

Last Sunday, we were reminded that real rest is more than taking a break it’s finding peace and renewal in Jesus!

📖 “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

💛 Real Rest means:
🕊️ Enjoying God’s Presence
🙏 Trusting God’s Provision
❤️ Loving God’s People

Whatever burdens we carry, Jesus invites us to come to Him and find true rest. Let’s trust Him, love others, and carry His peace into the week! ✨

Thank you for joining us for another beautiful Sunday of faith, worship, and fellowship! See you again on October 25, 2026 at St. John The Baptist Parish

Today, we thank God not only for the blessings we see, but also for His grace, protection, and faithfulness through every season of life. May our hearts always be filled with gratitude, our homes with love, and our lives with His peace.

📖 “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” — Psalm 107:1 (NIV)

A grateful heart is a blessed heart. Thank You, Lord, for everything! 🧡🍁

RESTED: REDISCOVERING THE SABBATH

In a world that tells us to work harder, do more, and keep going, God reminds us of something beautiful:
We were created not only to work, but also to rest, reconnect, and live abundantly.

The Sabbath is more than taking a break. It is a rhythm of rest and relationship a time to reconnect with God, with others, and with what truly matters.
And the heart of the Jubilee is even bigger: freedom, restoration, abundance, and a community where no one is forgotten.

Jesus declared:
“Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”*
Luke 4:21

✨ Your Jubilee has begun.
So take a breath. Slow down. Rest in God's presence. And remember you don't have to carry everything alone.

❤️ Join us at The Feast Light Fort McMurray as we rediscover the beauty of Sabbath, rest, and God's abundant love.

"God made us so He could love us. And this love that we receive will overflow to others".

Thank you Lord for being with us every night, allowing us to experience your love, and for helping us to prepare ourselves to love others.

"We love because he first loved us." - 1 John 4:19
