Welcome to Bonavista Church! Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome here. Our desire is to listen, learn, and follow Jesus — together. We remain a work in progress, but want to offer you a place to belong, a people to walk alongside you, and a shared joy in the beauty of life in Christ. Come and see!

Faith and Reconciliation
As followers of Jesus wh
o have been reconciled to God, we believe that he has, in turn, called us to be ‘ministers of reconciliation’. This is meant to shape how we live with one another and with our neighbours. We acknowledge that the Church has at times failed to walk faithfully with many people it once treated as outsiders or enemies. In Canada, this painful history is perhaps most clearly seen in the residential school system, where some caused deep harm to Indigenous and Métis peoples in the name of Jesus, while far too many others remained silent. With humility, we grieve this legacy and affirm the dignity and worth of every person as created in the image of God. We long to follow Jesus’ command to love our neighbours by building relationships marked by respect, truth, kindness, and hope. We do not see reconciliation as a statement alone, but as a posture we seek to grow into—listening, learning, and, by God’s grace, walking toward the wholeness that Christ desires for all.
