IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Children Belong at KZMC
We want every family who walks through the doors of KZMC to know something important:
Your children are welcome here.
If your kids are loud, please still come to church.
If you’re running late because getting everyone out the door was a battle, please still come to church.
If your toddler won’t sit still or your baby cries, please still come to church.
If someone drops a toy, needs a snack, asks questions, or makes their third trip to the bathroom, please still come to church.
If Sunday morning feels messy instead of peaceful, please still come to church.
If you feel like you spent most of the service parenting and only heard part of the sermon, please still come to church.
And if you’re worried your children are distracting the people around you, please still come to church.
Because children don’t learn how to be part of the Church by staying home until they can sit quietly.
They learn by being here.
They learn the songs by hearing us sing.
They learn to pray by hearing us pray.
They learn to worship by watching us worship.
They learn that church is home because we make room for them here.
At KZMC, children are welcomed as part of our whole church family. Through Kids Connection and other programs, they also have a place created especially for them to hear God’s Word, ask questions, build relationships, have fun, and grow in their faith.
The wiggles, whispers, dropped crayons, crying babies, laughter, and little voices are not interruptions to the life of the Church.
They are evidence that the Church is alive.
So bring the babies. Bring the toddlers. Bring the big kids. Join us for Kids Connection. Stay together in the sanctuary. Step out when you need to and come right back in.
Just come.
Children are not simply the future of the Church. They are part of the Church right NOW!
And if we don’t make room for the next generation in our churches today, we risk becoming a generation that leaves behind empty churches tomorrow.
The children sitting in our pews, learning in Kids Connection, asking questions, singing songs, and growing in their faith today are the church leaders, worshippers, servants, teachers, and disciples of tomorrow.
One day, they will be the adults welcoming another generation through the doors of the Church.
For their questions.
For their energy.
For their voices.
For their gifts.
For their growing faith.
Because a church filled with children isn’t a church filled with distractions. It’s a church filled with life.
So Church let’s do better at investing in them and giving them our time! Your time is not done yet!
