of the Message

son who messed up badly, walked away from home and then chose get up and go back home. son wastes everything, ends up broke, hungry, feeding pigs. This resulted in shame and regret.
he came his senses he said , “I will rise and go to my father”. stops blaming and takes responsibility and he decides to return.
father sees him from far, runs to him, hugs him, and throws a party. lecture, no rebuke but just forgiveness, a new robe, ring, and celebration.
elder became jealous after he saw that his brother was welcomed back and given a new robe and the celebration . is too much spirit of elder brother in the church, home, work place because we never rejoice with others whenever they come back to their senses, we always want them to be punished because of their actions. our God is good all the times as He is always for us to come home.
should depart from elder brother mentality and rejoice with others.
