SEROWE DISTRICT COUNCIL HANDS OVER NEW CLASSROOM BLOCK AT ST. GABRIEL PRIMARY SCHOOL

Serowe District Council today the 8th June 2026 successfully handed over a newly constructed one-by-two classroom block at St. Gabriel Primary School under the Constituency Community Projects (CCP) Programme.

The completion and handover of this project reflects Serowe District Council’s continued commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure and creating a conducive learning environment for learners across the District.

The additional classrooms are expected to ease pressure on existing facilities and enhance the overall teaching and learning experience at the school.

BOCHAIP Mourns Former President Festus Mogae (1939–2026)

BOCHAIP joins the nation in mourning the passing of former President Festus Mogae who passed away at 86.

President Mogae led Botswana through critical years of economic reform and stood at the forefront of the country’s response to the HIV/AIDS crisis. His government’s decision to provide free antiretroviral treatment to citizens was a landmark moment that saved countless lives and changed the course of the epidemic in Botswana.

We also remember President Mogae’s commitment to public health and his willingness to confront stigma when it mattered most. His leadership laid groundwork that community health programs still build on to today.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and the nation at large.

OBED ITANI CHILUME STADIUM

In order to accommodate the multitudes expected to attend the historic Episcopal Ordination of Monsignor Lawrence Ofentse Pheto, the main event will be held at Obed Itani Stadium on Saturday, 27th June.

More guidelines on accessing the venue, parking and sitting arrangement will be communicated in due course.
