Dear Family,

Every believer has two stories to tell: what God has done in their life, and what God wants to do in someone else's.

This past Sunday we learned how to tell the first one well.

This past Sunday we were reminded of the command in Matthew 22:39, Love your neighbour as yourself. The lost coin parable in Luke 15 shows what it looks like in practice.

A coin is small and easy to overlook. The woman in the story still lights a lamp and sweeps the whole house looking for it.

Love is diligence applied to something small enough to walk past. Love the City closes out this Sunday at His People Gaborone East.

This past Sunday we were reminded that Jesus looked at Jerusalem and wept over what it missed, the peace it could have had.

The father in the prodigal son story does the same thing on the road. He watches for a son who isn't home yet and sees him while he's still far off, which means he'd been watching long before there was anything to see.

This week we're asking; What does it look like to grieve for a city and still hope for it?

Love the City continues Sunday, at His People Gaborone East.

God asked Jonah why he wasn't allowed to care about a city that never asked to be cared for.

Nineveh was full of people who didn't know their right hand from their left, and God cared about them anyway.

This past Sunday we asked the same question about Gaborone:
-Who have we already decided isn't worth
going after?

In the last part of our series titled This Is Who We Are, we focused on Discipleship and Leadership (Matthew 28: 19-20).

When we dive deeper into what Discipleship entails, three imperatives stand out:
1. Following Jesus
2. Fellowship with Unbelievers
3. Fellowship with Believers

As His People Gabs-East, we believe in the 4E framework:
i) Engage
ii) Establish
iii) Equip
iv) Empower

We were reminded that the foundation of Evangelism is God’s heart, and He has a heart for the lost.

This Is Who We Are : Lordship

This past Sunday we learned that the starting point of our Spiritual growth is wholehearted submission and that Lordship requires us to:
1. Submit
2. Obey; and
3. Glorify God

Good morning Family,

Worshipping God is a commandment, and one of the ways we keep this commandment, is to meet together on Sundays to worship God and give Him thanks.

We are also strengthened when we are around other believers, seeing their faith, and hearing their experiences and testimonies.

As we continue with our series titled, This Is Who We Are, we hope that you would be moved to come together and fellowship.
