Today, on Mother’s Day, our youth honoured our Spiritual Mother, Mirriam Onneng, by enrobing her with a Shawl of Honour, a symbol of love, gratitude, and appreciation for a gentle giant among us.
A humble, compassionate, and selfless woman, she carries the weight of great leadership with grace, calmness, and prayer. Through every trial and season, she remains steadfast, never boastful, never shaken, but quietly devoted to serving God and the community, walking on the footsteps of Mother GG Onneng.
She mothers each and every one of us, especially those from disadvantaged homes, those carrying heavy emotional baggage, and those in need of comfort, guidance, and belonging. To many, she has become a support system beyond common church traditions, a true reflection of unconditional love and spiritual motherhood.
Today we celebrate not only a leader, but a true mother to many.
