Message : How do you react under provocation?
Provocation means being stirred up, irritated or challenged by someoneโs words or actions. It is when others deliberately try to upset, discourage, or test you. Provocation often comes as opposition to Godโs work โ but it can also be a test of character.
Nehemiah 4:1โ9
When provoked, the first response of Godโs people must be prayer. Nehemiah and his team faced ridicule and opposition, yet they turned to God for strength. In the same way, you may be provoked or looked down upon because of the work of the cross. Siblings, workmates, church members, friends and even relatives may test your faith.
But remember this: sometimes blessings come after provocation. The key is how you react. Your response determines how long it will take for God to answer. React in faith, not in anger. React in prayer, not in retaliation.
