*PARKING PSA*
There's a big golf tournament on this weekend across the road, so parking may be busy. Or it may not be, since it's not good beach weather. Either way it's a good idea to allow extra time to find a park this Sunday, with overflow bays south of the playground.

This Sunday will be a goodie, with a baptism, coffee, and EverhopeKids. The adults will be continuing our series through Hebrews, considering the problem of evil.

We'll have young and old gathered around tables this Sunday for another all-ages service. We'll be continuing our series Fix Our Eyes, through the book of Hebrews, and celebrating some special milestones including a membership adoption & a first communion.

We'd love you to be part of it.

Nabil wandered into our church back in June, but that's not where his story began. Growing up going to Mosque, he then pushed against religion and sat in atheism since his teenage years.

He formed a strong friendship with a gaming friend online who over a long period of time would occasionally send him Christian posts and reels. Then this past year he thought it was time to investigate the Christian faith more closely.

He found Jesus to be rest for his soul, a strong rock to build his whole life upon. And yesterday he was united with Christ in holy baptism, a family of faith around him and a whole new future ahead of him.

Congratulations Nabil 🙌

Join us at the Fenwick's joint this Sunday morning for a slow Sunday morning together, tucking into some good food while the kids have a bounce. These mornings are great, giving us a chance to have some of those conversations we might not have time for on a normal Sunday.

Yesterday afternoon we kicked off DISCOVER for ages 8-14. This four week club takes young people on a journey through some of the most important parts of the Christian faith.

Made. Rescued. Named. Fed.
..aand we might have a bit of fun while we do it. DIY mini golf anyone?

We're so grateful for our friends at Secret Harbour Anglican Church, who are always so generous to share their beautiful building.

This year a faithful group of volunteers have propagated, grown, and loaded up plants ready to be sold at local markets on Saturday mornings. What began as a plant stall now includes knitted beanies and pieces of woodwork made by other members of the church.

Over the course of the year, a wide group of volunteers have worked together to raise over $8000 for the purpose of local community & crisis relief.

But they frequently tell us that it's not just about the money.

It's the conversations and connections that take place at the same time.

Hearing people's stories. Those extra donations customers give 'just for a good cause'. The neighbours, nurseries and friends of friends who want to donate plants to be sold, thereby joining in the joy.

We're thankful for every plant, every hour given, and the extra funds to spread hope into this local community.

Since its inception, the Christian church has always baptised infants. But what that means is that for many people, they have no recollection of this gracious gift, and may even spend years without realising the significance of what Christ has done for them.

This was Penny's story.

She was baptised in Darling Point, NSW back in 1945. And just recently, 81 years later, we celebrated with Penny as she affirmed the faith of her baptism and the promises that God made to her all those years ago.

She sees her life as having a mysterious trace of God's presence. But her faith came together in a new way when she found God's people.

First an invite to an Alpha course. Then a small group. And eventually Everhope Church.

"For me, the church is a family. It really is."
