This Sunday is Father's Day and the start of the Season of Creation, and Christine will be leading us for this service.

Christine is our congregational chair and the archivist for the Uniting Church Assembly, which means she knows where we've come from and why it matters.

She knows where the bodies are buried. Sometimes literally.

Whether you're celebrating today, sitting with something more complicated or just want to be somewhere that feels real, there's a seat for you.

The whole service was a celebration of diversity in our local faithing community and the global church. 🌿 The Season of Creation starts today! The theme this year is "Living Water," drawn from Ezekiel's vision of water flowing from God's sanctuary, bringing life wherever it goes.

Here at Revesby Uniting, we worship on Bidjigal Country, near Salt Pan Creek. For the Bidjigal people, this creek has been living water for thousands of years.

Eels are totemic for First Nations people on the east coast. Each year, adult eels in Salt Pan Creek undergo an extraordinary transformation. Their eyes enlarge, their fins grow and their bodies store fat as they prepare for a migration of thousands of kilometres to the Coral Sea to spawn and die. Then their larvae ride ocean currents back south to their ancestral home in Salt Pan Creek

Water that sustains. Water that transforms. Water that connects freshwater to salt, one generation to the next.

This Season of Creation, we give thanks for the living water right here where we are.

🌿 Kids at Revesby Uniting 🌿

Our fortnightly MAD Kids’ Program is back this weekend! 💚

Julie will be sharing the fabulous book 'Weirdo' by Nick Laird and Zadie Smith during the service. The kids will then have the opportunity to head out of the service for some time of their own- with activities, creativity and plenty of space to explore.

Last time, our MAD (Making A Difference) kids thought about the qualities we want to keep growing in ourselves. Take a look at their awesome work! 🌱

MAD Kids is a space where kids can ask questions, get creative, explore big ideas and take up a bit of space of their own.

This Sunday, we're excited to welcome Eidan Keiran as our guest preacher.

Eidan is the pastor at New City Church in Glebe, a fantastic church built around Jesus, justice and community.

Eidan's the kind of preacher who'll take you deep into the Hebrew, make you laugh, and leave you thinking about it for the rest of the week. We can't wait to hear what they've got to say.
