Saint Mary MacKillop didn’t just talk about faith. She lived it through fearless, hands-on action.

As Australia’s first saint, she co-founded the Sisters of St. Joseph, opening free schools for disadvantaged children, shelters for those in need, and stepping up wherever people were forgotten. She faced massive opposition, tough conditions, and constant setbacks, but her drive never wavered. Her famous belief, “Never see a need without doing something about it”, turned compassion into a movement.

Today, her story hits differently. In a world full of noise, Mary MacKillop shows us what real courage, grit, and purpose looks like. She proves that age or status doesn’t limit your ability to make an impact, and that true leadership starts with serving others. Carrying her name isn’t just a title for our youth group; it’s our blueprint to stand up, care deeply, and lead with action ✝️

Registrations for the Sacrament of Confirmation are now open. If your child is in Year 6 or above and you would like them to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this year, kindly complete a registration form. Registrations can be completed online, via our website at https://stfelixparish.org.au/ or pick up a form from the Church foyer. Registrations will close on Monday 1st June. The first compulsory Parents meeting will be on Wednesday 3rd June at 6.30pm in St Felix Church. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be held at St Mary’s Cathedral this year on Sunday 2nd August.
