On August 15th, we gather in heart and spirit to honor the passing of our Holy Mother, the Panagia.

While today marks her earthly death, our hearts are filled with joy rather than sadness. Having completed the sacred two-week fast to mirror her final days of prayer, we now celebrate her miraculous journey straight into heaven.

She has passed into eternal life, standing beside her divine Son as our ultimate protector.
Let us celebrate this beautiful
day with our families, giving thanks for her endless love, grace, and maternal warmth.

May her holy protection be over your homes. 🕊️☦️

MAKRIS, Evangelia
Passed away peacefully at Renmark Aged Care on Saturday June 6, 2026.
Aged 86 years.
Beloved wife of Michail.
Loving mother and mother-in-law of Dimitrios (dec) and Suzanna, Nick and Elisavet, Vicki and George.
Cherished yiayia of Evelyn, Tina, Spyro, Michael N, Michael J, Michael D, and Eva.
Will be sadly missed, forever in our hearts.

The family and friends of Evangelia Makris are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service to be conducted at St. Constantinos and Eleni Greek Orthodox Church, Renmark on Tuesday June 16, 2026 at 10.00am.
In lieu of flowers if desired a donation to Renmark Aged Care in Evangelia's memory would be appreciated. Donations may be made at the service.
At the conclusion of the service the cortege will proceed to the Renmark Lawn Cemetery for the committal.

A big shoutout to all the parents who brought their wonderful children along today!

We had such a beautiful morning making palm crosses, dyeing red eggs, and preparing delicious koulourakia and tsourekia. It was great to see everyone getting involved and enjoying the traditions together.
