What a powerful, beautiful, and heartfelt presentation from our men of God!
It was more than a presentation but it was a powerful reminder of the freedom we have through Jesus Christ.
There are things that try to keep us bound like chains of fear, sin, shame, addiction, past hurts, wrong mindsets and passion, and anything that keeps us from walking in the fullness of God’s purpose. But Jesus came to set the captives free!
He did not only bring us out of bo***ge; He called us to walk in freedom.
Because true freedom is not simply being released from what once held us captive. True freedom is learning to live completely rooted in Christ. When we are rooted in Him, we are no longer easily shaken by circumstances, tempted to return to our old ways, or controlled by the things God has already delivered us from.
We have been set free and so now we must learn to walk free.
Colossians 2:6–7 reminds us:
“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith…”
What a powerful reminder: ROOTED and BUILT UP in HIM.
A tree with deep roots may face strong winds, storms, and difficult seasons, but it remains standing because its roots are firmly established.
In the same way, when our roots are deep in Christ, the storms may come, but they will not destroy us. The world may shake, circumstances may change, and battles may arise but we can remain standing because our foundation is Jesus.
May we never go back to the chains Christ has already broken.
May we never exchange the freedom He gave us for the bo***ge He delivered us from.
We are free because of Christ.
We stand because of Christ.
We grow because of Christ.
And we remain rooted because of Christ.
