Our Christmas theme for this year is "Majesty in the Mess", looking at the messy circumstances surrounding Christ's birth - they weren't what you'd expect for a King. In the lead-up to Christmas we're looking at some others in the Bible whose stories were also a bit messy, but God used them in their brokenness to bring about the story of Jesus.

Last weekend we hosted the Baptist Churches of WA Annual Assembly at Carey. Our Senior Pastor Peter Scott received his official accreditation as a Baptist Minister at the ceremony (you can now called him Rev Scott!) Youth Pastor Nicholas Lockwood also had his accreditation transferred from the Anglican Church. Congratulations to them both!

Join us this Sunday at 9:30am at Harrisdale as Dr Brian Harris wraps up our sermon series on Kings. Brian's message focuses on 2 Kings 5:1-19 and is titled 'Complicated Blessings'. During the service we'll say farewell to Pastor Sarah & Kyle Baggaley and thank them for their 6 years of service at Carey Church, and enjoy a special morning tea afterwards.

Today is the day! The Nightingale ballet starts this evening with a 6:30pm show! The stage is set, the costumes are pressed, and final rehearsals are happening! ✨There are 4 performances from Friday 10th– Sunday 12th October. Even if you aren’t familiar with this Hans Christian Andersen tale, you will LOVE this stunning feast for the eyes!
