Join us for a thought provoking public lecture exploring the life of the Prophet ﷺ and the question of warfare, mercy and justice in the Seerah.

Shaykh Hamza Karamali is a distinguished Islamic scholar and the founder of Basira Education. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto. After years of studying with traditional scholars across the Muslim world, he has dedicated his life to strengthening Muslim faith through critical thinking and scholarly discourse. He is the founder of Why Islam Is True, a course and teacher-training program that revives our scholarly tradition of rational arguments for the truth of Islam in schools, madrasas, Muslim homes, and the public mainstream.

The lecture will cover:
• What ghazwah and sariyyah mean, and why the historians of the Seerah did not use the word harb
• The twenty years of persecution, intimidation, torture, starvation and assassination attempts
• The expeditions that ended without a single death, and the overall figures across the period
• The treatment of prisoners and the Islamic command to feed a captive before oneself
• Why the conquest of Makkah itself provides evidence of the Prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ

The next generation of technologies will shape the world.

The next generation of Muslims should help shape those technologies.

This Saturday, ICMG Youth is hosting a FREE Youth Innovators Hackathon for children aged 10 to 14.

Participants will build with robotics, tackle exciting engineering challenges, and work together to solve real-world problems. More importantly, they will be encouraged to see themselves not just as consumers of technology, but as future innovators who can use it responsibly to serve humanity.

The workshop will be led by Rayaan, an internationally accomplished robotics competitor whose achievements include podium finishes at the FIRST LEGO League World Festival in Houston, the FIRST Global Challenge in Geneva, and the FTC European Premier Event in the Netherlands. A former Dux of Unity Grammar with an ATAR of 98.35, Rayaan is currently studying Mathematics and Physics at UNSW and now coaches the very robotics team he once competed on, mentoring the next generation of young programmers and engineers.
