Message Title: Physical, Spiritual Activities

Jdg 6:11-14

Some actions done physically can also represent spiritual activities. When the Israelites were about to be delivered, a lamb was slaughtered and blood was put on a door. This physical act stopped the angel of death.

Gideon was processing his wheat at a winepress, he was not ready to lose even a little of what he had. An angel sat and watched him. Some angels come to observe humanity, while others record our daily activities. Hagar was crying in the wilderness, ready to die, but God showed up, and she called the place El-Roi. There is a God who sees and hears you. Regardless of your background, he sees you. What you do determines if you are a mighty man of valour.

Be sensitive when listening to God. Can you sense his scent in a place? The presence of God comes with familiarity. Jesus had to carefully navigate his journey to the cross so the spiritual purpose could be fulfilled. Gideon was chosen for his physical strength. Moses was chosen for his aggression. You must be sober and physically alert.

The church in Rome was having disagreements between the Jews and gentiles over doctrine. Paul writes to them, imparting spiritual truths through his writings to anyone who listens. When spiritual gifts are present, there will be no conflicts. If you want to be established in any area of your life, pursue the spiritual. Paul explains that creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Creation is patiently waiting for sons to manifest because it understands that what God has given to sons is enough. Creation participates in its liberation through the sons. The spiritual is more important than material possessions. Creation is waiting for sons to speak life where there is death and deliverance where there is oppression. Let us desire the spiritual.

Message Title: That I May Know Him: Son vs Sun

Phil 3: 10

Paul, writing to the Philippians, wondered how a man who had died could live again after three days. Resurrection is not just coming back to life but the condition of his body. Stephen was persecuted, and Saul was there consenting to his death. Some people did you wrong, and you think God condemned them, but you will be heartbroken when you see them with God. Are you known by the Way as a child of God?

Near Damascus, Saul saw a greater light than the sun, the Son, Jesus. While others experienced the sun, Saul encountered the Son. Though he experienced the superior light, he became blind, confused, and without direction. Jesus said, "I am Jesus whom you persecute." Saul had never persecuted Jesus, only people of the Way. Jesus was saying that whoever persecutes his followers persecutes him. Whoever touches you touches Jesus.

A goad causes pain to move stubborn cattle. Sometimes pain is meant to move you back to the right path. Choose to move. Dwell long enough in his presence to have a supernatural encounter, sitting in his glory and pursuing his presence.

1 Samuel 17

Jesse sends David to see his brothers at war. Obedience is a virtue. David goes to the battlefield, encounters the army, and salutes his brothers. Goliath was a champion who began to defy Israel. When David saw this, he started asking about the reward for killing the giant. He spoke from the experience of how God had fought for him before. Be motivated by the rewards you receive from prayer. He was promised riches, the king's daughter as his wife, and his house would be exempt from taxes.

It's good to have encounters with God when facing situations where you are convinced He will help you. Before any real war, there is a battle of words, the battle of the mind. You must stand as an individual. You need personal encounters and experiences with God. Personal experiences help you overcome current challenges. If you want to become a millionaire, do you have a plan to reach a million? Learn to plan, and God will intervene. If you don't plan, the enemy will plan for you.

Be organised, you will have peace and will always be in time, not just on time. Take care of your parents. Are you a good ambassador of the church to your family? Are they inspired to transform by seeing your life? What is your personal vision for 2030?

2 Kings 6

There was a man named Benhadad who laid siege on Samaria until a famine occurred. The famine was not caused by drought, but because access had been blocked. Elisha came and said, "Hear the word of God; you need to reach a time to make decrees, and it will be established." This was a time when the head of a donkey was being sold alongside pigeon droppings. Poverty makes the abnormal seem normal.

The blessing of Abraham was still present, but they were suffering, even eating children because access was blocked. Imagine the rich eating droppings, what about the poor? So Elisha, against all odds, opened his mouth and declared, "Hear ye the word of the Lord." If Elisha had not spoken, nothing would have happened. You need to speak things into existence. If you don't declare, someone else will. Speak success into your children's lives.

The prophet declared that an ephah of fine flour would be sold for five shekels. You have the power to declare. Faith must rise at that moment, against all odds. It's a war of words, you must keep making declarations about what you want. When your declaration is challenged, don't be discouraged, make another. God caused the army of Assyria to flee by the footsteps of the lepers. You are the one who takes action. God loves your actions; He amplifies them as you do. Decree a word, and it is established, your words hold the power to create. Speak things into existence.
