In the spirit of prayer, people from around the Archdiocese of Bulawayo were gathered at our lady of Fatima Parish for an all night pilgrimage in commemoration of the assumption of our lady on the 14th of August to the 15th.
It is a tradition that people come to pray and learn about their faith every year in this place.
Our lady of Fatima is one of the Diocesan shrines where people's faith is rejuvenated.
Lessons are given from all aspects of people's lives hence every time when people gather they always go back fulfilled.

Memorial of St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe

On this memorial of St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe,
the scripture reading invites us to reflect on the sacred bond of marriage, a sign of God’s own love for humanity. While the Pharisees focused on laws, Jesus is challenging us to question ourselves, How can I love my spouse better? Am I living as someone ‘after God’s heart?’ God unites a man and a woman to form a family. Any marriage can succeed only if it is cemented by love, a spirit of sacrifice, and acceptance of the other as God loves, accepts, and sacrifices for us. Let us imitate St. Maximilian Kolbe who embolded the love of Christ in his heart. May our families be led by the love of Christ.
