There was a time I thought life was supposed to go according to plan.

That if I worked hard enough, loved deeply enough, stayed kind enough… things would always make sense.

But life has a way of humbling all of us.

Sometimes things fall apart without warning.
People change.
Hearts break.
Plans fail.
And no amount of overthinking can stop certain storms from arriving.

That’s one of the hardest lessons adulthood teaches you:

You are not in control of everything.

And strangely… accepting that is where peace begins.

Because life was never meant to be one long stretch of happiness.
It’s a mixture of everything.

The painful goodbyes that reshape you.
The disappointments that mature you.
The lonely seasons that teach you how to stand on your own.
The mistakes that force you to grow.

But also…

The unexpected conversations that heal you.
The quiet moments that remind you how beautiful being alive can be.
The people who arrive when you need them most.
The fresh starts you never saw coming.

That’s the strange beauty of life.

Just when you think the story is over… a new chapter begins.

And if you’ve lived long enough, you realise something important:

Every difficult season carried a lesson you couldn’t see at the time.
Every heartbreak changed your standards.
Every setback redirected your path.
Every storm cleared something from your life that no longer belonged there.

Nothing leaves you untouched.
But nothing arrives without shaping you either.

So embrace all of it.

The highs.
The confusion.

The healing.
The uncertainty.
The becoming.

Because one day you’ll look back and realise…
