JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND FOREVER 55-0603

Anything that was included in the atonement is the personal property of every believer. When a man gets saved or a women, boy, or girl, God gives them a checkbook, as it was, with Jesus’ Name at the bottom of every check for anything redemptive blessing that Jesus died for. It’s your personal property. Don’t be afraid to fill it out. The Bank of Heaven will recognize it.

JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND FOREVER 55-0603

10 Now, Jude about thirty years or more after the Pentecost, was writing to the church that—and exhorting them that they should earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered unto the saints.

JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND FOREVER 55-0603

11 Now, there is…People said…To me not long ago someone said, “Well, Brother Branham, that’s against my faith.”

I said, “What kind of faith do you have?” See?

“Against my faith.” There’s only one faith, one Lord, one baptism, one God.

Now, if the Scriptures said that he exhorted to earnestly contend for the faith (not a faith), the faith that was once delivered to the saints…And each one of us wants to say that our church does that. The only way to be positive sure of this night church, is to go back and see what kind of a faith that they had to contend for. And then we should earnestly contend for that type of faith. Don’t you believe it? Contend for that faith.

JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND FOREVER 55-0603

16 Think of it. “The works that I do testify that the Father has sent Me.” Man can make any kind of a statement, but if God don’t back that statement up, you’ve got a right to say it’s wrong. But when God comes around and confirms that statement to be the truth then it’s sin to disbelieve it.

For what is sin? Sin is one thing: “unbelief.” That’s right. You couldn’t say how much of that is night. It’s all night. And in the daytime you couldn’t say just this much is day. It’s all day.

Jesus said, “He that believeth not is condemned already.” Faith in God and unbelief that’s the two things. One is sin and the other one is salvation.

JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND FOREVER 55-0603

41[ ] If God made a promise, God’s got to stand behind His promise. And if He won’t do it, then His promise is not no good, then He—His Word’s like mine. But God will stand behind it, if you’ll stand behind God. If you’ll dare to step out there and take Him at His Word, He will do it.

Now, put your faith in Him tonight, in Calvary, and look to Him, and believe it. And now, I believe if He will; I don’t say He will; I don’t know; He’s God. If He will return tonight and show the very same signs right here in this audience of people here where we are setting, if He will show the very same signs that He did when He was here on earth, that’ll be infallible proof that He has raised from the dead. Is that right? Infallible proof…Shall we pray.

JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND FOREVER 55-0603

68 Our heavenly Father I now come in the challenging Name of the Lord Jesus. I condemn every sickness, and let the devil that’s bothered these people come out in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Every one of you here now that believes the Lord Jesus right now, that He’s healed you, raise your hand and just praise Him. Just raise your hands and say, “Praise You, Lord Jesus.” Amen.

May God bless you abundantly!

BELIEVEST THOU THIS? 60-0402

66 And when Jesus leaves your home, trouble is on its road. Just remember, when He leaves your home, trouble is on the way.

BELIEVEST THOU THIS? 60-0402

67 Reminds me of a story of the Lord Jesus, that’s found in the Book of Luke. You know when He was just a boy of about twelve years old, His people taken Him, as the custom was each year, up to the feast of Pentecost. And while they were in the city of Jerusalem at the feast and having a good time, we find in the Bible, that they went three days without Him. And that they thought maybe, just took it for granted, that Jesus must have been among some of their kinfolks. Now, we cannot do that. When they come to go through their kinfolks to find out, He wasn’t there.

68 And we can’t take it for granted, just because we’re Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, Pentecost, and our backgrounds and our forefathers were great believers, we just take it, well, for granted, Jesus is with us. We can’t do that. We’ve got to be in contact with Him every day and every minute. Oh, I love that.

BELIEVEST THOU THIS? 60-0402

72[ ] That’s what religion ought to be. The Coming of the Lord is at hand. The church ought to be moving on into their powers. [...] I feel ashamed of myself when I look out here and see the institutions, and the sickness, and the troubles that’s going on right now. Our church ought to be walking the street, healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out devils, doing signs and wonders, making the whole world realize that Jesus Christ lives. That’s what we need to be doing.

BELIEVEST THOU THIS? 60-0402

74 Where do they find Him? Where did—where did they find Jesus? Right where they left Him. Where did they leave Him? At the feast of Pentecost. Where do we leave Jesus, where did the church? At the feast of Pentecost. When we get away from that old time Pentecostal power and the feast of Pentecost, we walk away from Jesus. That’s exactly right, friend. We are living under our privileges. Yes, sir.

75 They left Him at the feast of Pentecost, and there’s the only place that Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, and Pentecostals will ever find Him, is go back where you left Him at. Where is the joy of the Lord? Where is the power of the Lord? The church asks today, “What—what happened to the God of history?” He’s waiting for His people to call Him on the scene.

BELIEVEST THOU THIS? 60-0402

77 What we need is not education. We need the power and demonstration of the Holy Ghost back in the church to demonstrate the power. Jesus never said, “Go into all the world and—and teach.” He never said, “Go into all the world and do…” He said, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel.” And the Gospel is to demonstrate the power of the Holy Ghost, the resurrection. We’re still a million miles short than where we should be. Let us move forward. Let’s go back where we left Him at the feast of Pentecost.

BELIEVEST THOU THIS? 60-0402

157 Now, the Presence of the Lord is here to heal the sick, make the people well. Just believe Him. Do you believe Him? If we can believe Him, all things are possible. You believe that? Do you believe that that’s the Presence of the Lord?

May God bless you abundantly!

Scriptures:
- Proverbs.3:1-6
- Luke.12:27

LEAN NOT UNTO THY OWN UNDERSTANDING 65-0120

33 [ ] the wise Solomon told us that, “not to lean to it, not to our own understanding; learn not of these things.” Because, we wonder why that he would say such a thing as this, for it’s because that usually our modern understanding is usually the wisdom of man, which is contrary to the Word of God.

LEAN NOT UNTO THY OWN UNDERSTANDING 65-0120

138 Abraham, he did not lean to his understanding about human life. He had married his wife at about seventeen years old. Here he was, seventy-five years old, and she was sixty-five years old, being ten years younger. But Abraham did not lean to his understanding, when God said that He would give him a son by Sarah. But he called anything, any scientific proof that was contrary to God’s Word, any learning outside of God’s Word, as though it wasn’t so. And he give God praise, strong, giving Him praise. He did not even consider looking at his own body or the deadness of Sarah’s body, or—or his body. He did not consider anything, but leaned upon the promise of God. He leaned not upon his own understanding. He leaned not upon reasons.

LEAN NOT UNTO THY OWN UNDERSTANDING 65-0120

142 What if Moses would have leaned to his own understanding, when God told him that he was to—to take Pharaoh…or the children of Israel out of Pharaoh’s hand? What if he would have leaned to his own understanding, when he was there by the Pillar of Fire, when God said, “Go down and I’ll be with you”? What if he would have leaned to his understanding when he brought them to the Red Sea, and there they was at the water, and here God had promised them the promised land? What if he would have leaned to his own understanding, “How am I going to get across there? We haven’t time to build a bridge. Here is the army coming right behind us. Here is the mountains on either side. Here is the water in front of us, the Red Sea”?

144 But he leaned not to his own understanding. But he prayed, and God told him to step forward, and the sea opened up, which was against all reasonings. But he leaned not to his own understanding.

DOES GOD EVER CHANGE HIS MIND ABOUT HIS WORD? 65-0418E

126[ ] “We cast down reasonings.” We believe God, no matter what anything else says. We believe God. We don’t reason what God says. You can’t reason with It. You have to accept It by faith. And anything that you know, you don’t have to reason any more. I don’t know how He does it; I just believe He does it.

May God bless you abundantly

Exhortation: HUMBLE THYSELF

Scriptures:
- Colossians.2:11
- Joshua.1:7-8

HUMBLE THYSELF 63-0714E

81 And I’ve always found out that the man that humbles himself is the man that God exalts. When you take a person with his chest out and knows everything, and you can’t tell him nothing, and he is arrogant, and—and, well, that—that’s the person that never gets anywhere. But you take that person that humbles themself and walks sweetly.

IDENTIFICATION 63-0123

241 Jesus stooped from Heaven, to reflect Himself in the form of sinful flesh. (And who are you, or who are I?) To make the…make a way for us to reflect God, to make a way to reflect Himself in us, by sanctifying us to His Word. For His Word says, that, when He did so, so that we could reflect His Word.

GOD HIDING HIMSELF IN SIMPLICITY, THEN REVEALING HIMSELF IN THE SAME 63-0317M

172 [ ] His wisdom was vanished and at its end, when he met God in the burning bush there. He took off his shoes and humbled himself to humility, and forgot all about his wisdom.

YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN 61-1231M

100 And if you still love the things of the world, you’re deceived, your sacrifice hasn’t been accepted yet, your nature hasn’t been changed. Now do you know what it means to be born again? See, your nature is changed, you become a new creature. You got to die first, and then be borned again. I know it’s time for me to close, but just give me just a few minutes, I’ll run over these texts real quick, see, see. If you still love the world, and claim that you are born again, no matter what you done…You might have cried, you might have had chills run through you. Them’s all right, I ain’t got nothing against that. Christians cry and have chills run through them. And you say, “Brother Branham, I spoke in tongues just…” That might be fine, and that might be just ever so good.

HUMBLE THYSELF 63-0714E

93 Now, surely, after all these years on the field and around the world, and seeing different people, I ought to know a little bit about the gate to enter in at. And if you want to get somewhere with God, never let an arrogant spirit ever come around you. Don’t let no malice come in. No matter what anybody has done, if they are wrong, don’t you never build up a complex against that person. See? You be sweet and kind. Remember, God loved you when you were in sin. And if the Spirit of God is in you, you love the other person when he’s in wrong. See, just pray for them, and love one another.

94 Above everything, love God and love one another. And be humble with God and around one another, and God will bless us,

May God bless you abundantly.

N EXPOSITION OF THE SEVEN CHURCH AGES (4 - THE SMYRNAEAN CHURCH AGE )
CONDITIONS OF THE AGE

Why does He stand by? The reason is in Romans 8:17-18, “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Unless we suffer with Him we cannot reign with Him. You have to suffer to reign. The reason for this is that character simply is never made without suffering. Character is a VICTORY, not a gift. A man without character can’t reign because power apart from character is Satanic. But power with character is fit to rule. And since He wants us to share even His throne on the same basis that He overcame and is set down in His Father’s throne, then we have to overcome to sit with Him. And the little temporary suffering we go through now is not worthy to be compared to the tremendous glory that will be revealed in us when He comes. Oh, what treasures are laid up for those who are willing to enter into His kingdom through much tribulation.

VICTORY DAY 63-0422

183 When looks like everything has gone wrong, God is giving you a trial. He’s got confidence in you. He don’t have to baby you around. You’re not a hotbed plant, a hybrid. You’re a real Christian. God is giving you a test, see what you’ll do about it. Amen. No wonder Peter said, “These fiery trials, why, count it a joy. It’s—it’s more precious to you than gold.”

HE THAT IS IN YOU 63-1110E

175 Greater! He that was in Daniel was greater than the lions. He could stop them hungry lions. So anything that can stop anything, is greater than what he stopped. So the lions rushed out, hungry, to eat Daniel; and greater was He that was in Daniel, than he that was in the lion.

165 Greater was He that was in Joshua, than the sun. And Joshua was a man, sin-born, like you and I. And greater was He that was in Joshua, and in the sun that was running by the commandment of God. God commanded that sun to shine and turn itself around, and it’s governed and controlled by the laws of God. But greater was He that was in Joshua, than the laws of God was; because the Creator, Himself, was in Joshua when Joshua looked up to the sun and said, “You stand there where you’re at. And, moon, you hang there where you’re at, till I finish this battle.” And the sun and the moon obeyed him, for He that was in Joshua was greater than the—the sun and the moon. He that was in Joshua!

I HAVE HEARD BUT NOW I SEE 65-1127E

101 Now, sometimes these great pulsations of faith come right in the time of crisis. It’s usually crisis that drives us into this. It was a crisis that drove Job into it. Why, he was at the end of his life. His children was dead; his camels. And all of his goods was gone and destroyed. And his own life, he was broke out from the crown of his head to the soles of his feet with boils. It was a crisis, that he pressed hisself, there’s where the inspiration struck him.

156 [ ] “He that’s in you is greater than he that’s in the world,” God in you, like He was in Jesus Christ. Because, what all God was, He poured into Christ; and all Christ was, He poured into the Church. See, that’s God in you, “He that’s in you.”

HE THAT IS IN YOU 63-1110E

187..... He that is in you is Christ! And if Christ is in you, the works of Christ you will do, if Christ lives in you. He said so. Saint John 14:12, “He that believeth in Me, the works that I do shall he do also,” if you was in Christ, or if Christ lived in you. Then, Christ is the Word. Is that right? And the Word come to His prophets. See? And if, you, Christ lived in you, the works of Christ would be done through you, the Life of Christ would be lived through you. The works He did, the life He lived, and everything, it would live in you;

192 Greater is He that was in David, than the bear that stole his sheep. Greater is He that was in David, than the lion that come in and took one of his lambs. Greater is He that was in David, than the enemy, Goliath.

THE PATRIARCH ABRAHAM 64-0207

79 When it comes down to the hour of death. You say, “What about that?” You still have that Possession that Paul said. “O grave, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting? But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory through that Mighty Conqueror, Jesus Christ.” Oh!

HE THAT IS IN YOU 63-1110E

190 He said, “I will not leave you comfortless.” As I pray, asked a while ago, there in Matthew 24, see, or Matthew 28:20. See? He said, “I will come to you, be in you. I,” the Person, Christ, in the form of the Holy Ghost, “will come and live in you. Then you won’t be your—you won’t be yourself no more. I’ll be in you. AS I THOUGHT ON MY WAYS 59-0610

19 And I can just imagine tonight, seeing David walking back and forth, up and down the floor wringing his hands. It’s usually when a man gets in trouble that then he will turn to God. It’s too bad that it has to take those things to bring a man to recognize that he’s a sinner, or away from God’s Presence and blessings, but God does it that way

28 It behooves us all, while we are not in trouble, to seek God. It isn’t good to wait till we get in trouble and then seek God, it’s best to find Him now, for it is written that He is a very present Help in the time of Trouble.

61 What the church needs tonight is a confession, and making right, and come back to the testimonies of the Lord God, there’s mercy and forgiveness. Seems that it would haunt people, going on, know that you’re walking hour by hour in the face of death. Why do we continue on with selfishness, and greed, and ungodliness, and—and our eyes on things of the world? It’s time we turn back to God’s testimonies. “As I thought on my ways, I turned my feet to Thy testimonies.”

TIME-TESTED MEMORIALS OF GOD 57-0818

115 [ ] Every time sickness strikes your home, every time trial strikes your home, every time the neighbors say something bad about you, it’s only shaking you, loosen you up, so you can get down and get a better hold on the Eternal Rock of God’s unmovable Word. That’s how God does it. He sends those trials to test you and to prove you, to shake you up and to give you a new hold.

AS I Thought ON MY WAYS s 59-0610

69 God is infinite, and when He speaks, It’s got to be perfect, He cannot change. We cannot alter God’s Word, we have to alter our thinking to His thinking. Let the mind of Christ be in you, then you’ll think like He thinks.

THE REPROACH FOR THE CAUSE OF THE WORD 62-1223

81 And God sets a time and has a purpose for everything that He does. There is nothing happens just accidentally to those who love the Lord and are called according to His calling. See? We are predestinated. And everything works just right, for that, because He cannot lie. And He said that was so, that everything has its time, its season, and it has its way. And God is behind every move. And sometimes you think that everything is going wrong. It’s up to us. Those things are put upon us, trials and wonderings. It’s testing, to see how we will react on an action.

TIME-TESTED MEMORIALS Of GOD 57-0818

109 Blessed be the Name of the Lord, for the temptations! “When I am weak, then I’m strong,” said Paul. “Every son that cometh to God, must first be tried and tested.” And these testings are more sweeter to you, and dearer to you, than precious gold. It’s testing time.

111 That’s the way God does His Church. He gives you trial after trial, test after test, trial after trial, test after test, until the Life of Christ is reflected in your life; until you become peaceful, sober, meek, gentle, humble, ready, submissive, willing, turn your head on the things of the world, and looking straight to Calvary, to the One Who is doing the beating. Many times you think it’s strange because fiery trials, sickness, and persecutions. It’s only done to test you, to get the dirt out of you, to get the sludge out of you, to get the slowness out of you, to wake you up to the place where you can look and see the reflection, or a man can see the reflection of Christ in you, “Christ in you, the hope of Glory.”

PLANTING THE VINE AND WHERE TO PLANT IT 59-0920

32 [ ] Moses was at the end of his intelligence, and at the end of his strength.

33 But that’s where God wants to get us, just to the end of our road, then He steps in. It’s just like Him.

ACTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT 54-1219E

155 Times may be hard. God has not promised a flower bed of ease, but He has promised grace sufficient for every trial that can hit you. That’s right. Yes, indeed, grace is sufficient. Not he’s on a flower, flower bed of ease, but He promised grace to overcome in every temptation. When a cross gets heavy, Christ promised to be with you. Yes, sir.

GOD HATH A PROVIDED WAY 56-0108

147 [ ] “Now I’m going to give you a trial, Abraham.” He said, “I want you to take this sixteen-year-old lad of yours. I want you to take him out here, and I want you to kill him now.”

148 “How am I going to be a father of nations? How, from this boy, is going to spring Christ? And how is it going to be if I kill him?” Well, now, he thinks, “If God made the promise, it’s up to God to take care of the rest of it.”

BE CERTAIN OF GOD 59-0125

38 You know, it’s a strange thing. May God let this soak into every one of you, if you never hear me preach again. Let this be a message. It’s strange, most strange, that sometimes that God does things that way.

39 You know, when we have confessed our sins and met every requirement that God requires…We believed on God.

40 I’m sure that I’m speaking to people, this morning, who has come to that place. I’ve been there, many times, myself. When I’ve went back and traced my life and turned over every stone, and I find that I’ve did something wrong, I’d go confess it and say, “Lord God, I’ll make it right,” and go do so. Then come back again and say, “Now, Lord, Thou art God; You’ll answer me. Surely I met every request that You required me to do. And every requirement, I have met it.” And still He won’t move, seems to set silent, that’s when you’ve got to be sure that He is God. Don’t be discouraged. The only thing is, that, in your heart, to be certain of God.

PERFECT STRENGTH BY PERFECT WEAKNESS 61-1119

111 God said to Paul, “My strength is perfect in your weakness. My—My strength becomes more perfect as you become more weaker. More you can yield to Me the better I can use you. The more you can forget about your education, the more you can forget about your denomination, the more you can forget about your stuff and yield yourself to Me, the more I can use you. Cause you become weak, I’ll—I’ll make My Own purpose strong.”

278 When he was weak, then he become strong. Yes, sir. He shut the heavens that it wouldn’t rain. That’s when he got strong, when he lost his church, lost everything he had, everything else. But he stayed with God’s Word, then he had power to shut the heavens.

279 When Jacob lost all of his strength, then God give him power to become a prince. See?

280 When Paul lost his education and all of his theology, God made him a missionary to the Gentiles.

283 He said, “You’re the one that’s troubling Israel.” Yes, sir. Oh, brother! Yes, sir. “Bring out them intellectual priests you got up here, and let’s see who’s God.” There you are. “Climb up on Mount Carmel, let the God that answered at Pentecost answer back again. Let’s see if God still is the same God, if Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” He come off the mountain, he had a Message. Yes. He got real weak before, though, he lost everything before he did it. He had to get weak ’fore he’d get strong.

May God bless you abundantly!

47 And if God asks this thing to be done, to confess your sins, and so forth, and you’ve done it, faith says that He is, it’s certain that it’s going to happen. Your request has to be granted. Oh, I—I hope you don’t miss that. If you are sure of God, God is sure of His Word.

48 Let’s think of the Hebrew children. They wasn’t to bow to an idol. God had confidence in them. And when they heard they had to go to the fiery furnace, they said, “Our God is able to deliver us from this furnace. But if He doesn’t do it, we’re not bowing to any of your idols.” See, they were sure and certain of God.

49 They knowed that He was Jehovah. They knowed that He answered prayer. But whether He did in their case, or not, it would have to be for the good. So they just made their statement, confessed their sins, and walked into death.

50 When they were going to the fiery furnace, knowing that they were certain, that, if God let them burn up, He would raise them up again, in the resurrection. They were certain of God, because they knowed that God would work everything for their good. And when we are certain of God, we know that God works everything for our good.

DOES GOD EVER CHANGE HIS MIND ABOUT HIS WORD? 65-0418E

16 Don’t you stop. Don’t rest, day and night, until that quickening Power has brought you from the things of the world, into the Kingdom of God. And you that truly are brought into the Kingdom of God and quickened by the Spirit of God, how happy! With tears of joy we should be on our knees, day and night, thanking God for what He’s done.

MY ANGEL SHALL GO BEFORE THEE 53-0216

7[ ] Now, He gave us the strongest weapon that there is in all the world, and that’s prayer. Prayer is what changes things. The Christian doesn’t realize what a force he has when he kneels on his knees before Almighty God in the Name of Jesus Christ. He doesn’t realize what—what power that is.

JESUS ON THE AUTHORITY OF THE WORD 54-0217

18 For instance, many times there are people come in the line and I pray for them. I never know what’s going to happen. I just pray for them. And there is a power in prayer. Prayer will even change the Word of God. (That was a striker, wasn’t it?) But it’s the truth.

May God bless you abundantly!
