REMINISCING ON THE PASSOVER CONFERENCE

"What I have written, I have written." - John 19:22

We thank God for the profound insight that Mam Mtshali shared from John 19:19-22.

Though these were spoken by Pontius Pilate, they carry so much weight. Pilate sought to dismiss the matter, but unknowingly he proclaimed an eternal truth: the kingship of Christ is irrevocable.

She ministered powerfully in line with the context and content of the Book of John, relaying the case of God's Sovereignty concerning the cross!

Theological Reflections:

1. Divine Sovereignty - God ordained that Jesus be declared "King of the Jews" & for all nations to see. Even a reluctant Roman governor became an instrument of God's revelation. God is in Total Control

2. Immutability of God's Decree was at display

"What I have written, I have written" echoes the unchangeable nature of God's Word. Christ’s identity and mission were not subject to human revision. Isaiah 46:10 - My counsel shall stand. God does NOT change.!

3. The cross was not hidden. The inscription testified publicly to who Jesus is in all 3 languages [Hebrew, Greek & Latin]. God ensures His truth is published, even through unlikely voices. God is Love!

We praise God for raising women like Nqobile Mtshali in our midst; to open the Scriptures and faithfully deliver God's truth in accuracy. May we, like that inscription, boldly declare Christ’s Kingship without editing or apology in our generation.
