Last Sunday we also bid farewell to Rev. Tembani as he concludes his ministry at Holy Name Parish following his transfer by the Bishop.

We give thanks to God for his faithful service, spiritual leadership, and dedication to the parish. Throughout his time with us, Rev. Tembani has been a blessing to our congregation, guiding us in faith and sharing God's Word with wisdom and compassion.

As a token of our appreciation and gratitude, the parish presented him with a chasuble and stole. These gifts symbolize our heartfelt thanks for his wonderful ministry and the positive impact he has made within our parish family.

We pray that God will continue to bless, guide, and strengthen Rev. Tembani as he begins this new chapter of ministry. We wish him every success and God's richest blessings in his next parish.

"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you." (Numbers 6:24–25)

Today we joyfully celebrated Trinity Sunday, where Ven Antoni shared an inspiring message on the significance of the Holy Trinity—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We were reminded of the unity, love, and presence of God in our lives through the mystery of the Trinity.

During the service, we also witnessed the induction of our trainee lay ministers. We give thanks to God for these two brethren who have responded to His call and allowed Him to work through them as they begin this important journey of faith, learning, and service. This period of training will prepare them for ministry within the Holy Name Church and equip them to serve God's people faithfully.

May God bless and guide them throughout their training, granting them wisdom, humility, and strength as they grow in their calling. We keep them in our prayers and look forward to seeing how God will use them in His vineyard.

To God be the glory. 🙏🏻✝️

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire congregation for attending and supporting our Pentecost Service. Your presence, prayers, and fellowship made the service truly meaningful and spirit-filled.

A special word of thanks goes to Rev Tembani for the powerful sermon. Though short and straight to the point, the message taught us deeply about the true meaning and importance of Pentecost, reminding us of the power of the Holy Spirit and the unity of the Church.

May the blessings of Pentecost continue to guide and strengthen us all. Thank you once again for worshipping together in faith and love.

The Church kindly invites all members of the congregation to attend the prayer services and funeral services of our beloved brother and sister who have passed on. Let us come together in prayer, love, and unity to support the grieving families during this difficult time.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to both families. May God comfort you, strengthen you, and grant you peace during this season of loss.

You are warmly invited to attend our Pentecost Service as we gather together in worship, prayer, and thanksgiving for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Pentecost is a very important day in the life of the Church, reminding us of the power, unity, and guidance of the Holy Spirit that was given to the disciples.

This service is not just another gathering, but a special opportunity for spiritual renewal, encouragement, and fellowship as the people of God. When we come together in one accord, we strengthen our faith, pray for one another, and allow God to work in our lives in a mighty way.

Let us come expecting blessings, healing, restoration, and a fresh fire of the Holy Spirit in our hearts and in our congregation. Your presence will make the celebration complete. Bring your family, friends, and loved ones as we rejoice together in the presence of the Lord.

“Do not give up meeting together… but encourage one another.” – Hebrews 10:25

We look forward to worshipping with you at this blessed Pentecost Service.

Wave of Prayer Service

The Wave of Prayer Service was successfully held. The service brought together members of the Mothers’ Union in a spirit of worship, unity, and intercession

The sermon was delivered by Rev S.L. Tembani, who encouraged the congregation to remain steadfast in prayer, love, and unity as Christians. The message emphasized the importance of praying for nations, communities, and the Church worldwide.
Special prayers were offered for various dioceses.

Different members of the MothersÚnion led the prayers, creating a meaningful and spiritually uplifting atmosphere. The Eucharist was also celebrated during the service.

The service was a great success and strengthened the spirit of fellowship and prayer within the church community.

We thank God for a blessed and peaceful gathering and pray that the fruits of the prayers offered will continue to strengthen the Church and the nations prayed for.

“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.” – Colossians 4:2

Faith in Action Sunday 🙏🏾❤️

Sunday, the Mothers’ Union reminded us what true faith looks like — faith that serves, gives, and unites. As part of their beautiful “Faith in Action Sunday” event, the Mothers’ Union collected cleaning materials for the Church, while of course St Bernard Mizeki proudly joined hands with them by donating Altar elements to support the work of God’s house.

The day was made even more special as members celebrated our culture by wearing beautiful traditional attire, bringing colour, joy, and unity to the occasion. We were also blessed by a powerful sermon from Mrs. O. Mpunzi, who preached about Love, Forgiveness, and Unity — a message that touched many hearts and reminded us of the importance of walking together in Christ.

We sincerely thank the Mothers’ Union for this wonderful initiative and for showing that faith must always be followed by action.

“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14 ✨
