✨️ Sunday Word Reflection ✨️ | "The Lord. The Calling. The Pastor. The Church."

God is a God of order. Throughout Scripture, we see that He establishes leaders, gives assignments, and gathers His people into a community called the Church.

The stories found in 2 Samuel and Numbers remind us that rebellion, division, and strife can destroy what God is building. Yet God calls His people to unity, humility, and obedience. A church flourishes when it remains submitted to the Lord, honours His calling, respects spiritual leadership, and protects the unity of the body of Christ.

📖 "Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease." — Proverbs 22:10

📖 "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." — Proverbs 28:13

As believers, let us guard our hearts against division, gossip, pride, and rebellion. Let us instead choose repentance, forgiveness, and unity. The Church belongs to Christ, and every member has a responsibility to strengthen, not weaken, the body.

🙏🏾 May we honour the Lord, respect His calling, pray for our pastors, and serve faithfully in His Church. For where there is unity, God commands His blessing.

The Lord. The Calling. The Pastor. The Church. Let us remain faithful to all four.

✨️ Sunday Word Reflection ✨️ | "The Lord. The Calling. The Pastor. The Church."

📖 “And the Lord called Samuel again...” — 1 Samuel 3:1-10

God is still calling people today. Before there is a ministry, there is a calling. Before there is a pastor, there is a servant who has heard the voice of God. And before there is a thriving church, there is a people willing to respond, “Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.”

The Church belongs to God, and He raises leaders according to His purpose to shepherd, teach, guide, and care for His people. As believers, we are called not only to hear God's voice but also to honour and support those He has called to lead us.

A healthy church is built when the people respond to God, the pastor remains faithful to the calling, and Christ remains at the center of it all.
🙏🏾 May we never become deaf to the voice of God. May we answer His call with obedience, serve His Church with humility, and pray for those He has entrusted with leadership.
