John 14:16,26
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby, that He may remain with you forever– But the Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name, in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf, He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall, will remind you of, bring to your remembrance everything I have told you.
Many people don't understand the work of the Holy Spirit. Many people underestimate the need of the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives hence they don't see any reason to ask God for the Holy Spirit. Many believe in God and about Jesus, but they don't believe anything about the Holy Spirit. Many people don't even know that there's the Holy Spirit simply because many churches or pastors don't preach or teach about the Holy Spirit in their churches. In Acts 19:2 Apostle Paul asked several believers he found in Ephesus saying, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” Paul asked them.“No,” they replied, “we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” Just imagine! Many people are quite alright saved but they haven't yet been filled or baptised with the Holy Spirit due to ignorance and lack of knowledge about the Holy Spirit, because they haven't heard that there's the Holy Spirit because they've not been taught about the Holy Spirit in their churches. It's time when every church worldwide must be preaching and teaching the whole purpose and plan and counsel of God (Acts 20:27), must be preaching and teaching anything that can benefit people spiritually and physically and financially (Acts 20:20), anything that can empower Christians spiritually and economically using the vast skilled and experienced human resources available in our churches. Isaiah 48:17 says, "I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow". Jesus said in John 16:7, "But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send Him to you. So the Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby, He helps us not to give up even when we experience delays and oppositions and challenges and obstacles, and plays the role of a lawyer in our lives. The Holy Spirit is the greatest teacher ever and He'll teach you everything God wants you to know and will remind you of everything Jesus preached and taught. You can learn about skills from schools but many things that God wants you to know will be taught to you by the Holy Spirit. Every day you need God's guidance to make right decisions and right choices, if not you'll end up making wrong decisions and wrong choices, and they will be consequences, hence every day ask the Holy Spirit to lead you, to guide you, and He will lead you and order your steps and establish your goings or movements so you'll be found at the right place at the right time and you'll never miss opportunities that are aligned for you. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of prophecy. Jesus said in John 16:13, "When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own but will tell you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future". He will use you to prophesy whenever He wants you to prophesy whether you're a prophet or not, and whatever you prophesy will definitely happen. The Holy Spirit is the best coach in the world on character development, transforming our lives into the image of Christ thereby making us Christians Christlike. Galatians 5:22-23 says, "But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
