We are pleased to introduce Willie Kingsley, who began serving as an elder at Redeemer Fellowship in July 2026. Willie has a heart for serving Christ and His church and looks forward to serving the body in whatever way the Lord leads.

Life and Service

Willie has spent his professional life as a lawyer and has a particular passion for mediation and biblical reconciliation. He came to saving faith in Christ at the age of 30 and has since been actively involved in a number of churches in Grahamstown and Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). He has a particular interest in prayer, music, men's ministry, and Bible studies.

Family

Willie and his wife, Karen, have been married for 18 years. They have three sons, three wonderful daughters-in-law, and nine grandchildren, for whom they are deeply thankful.

Guided by Scripture

As an elder, Willie desires to faithfully shepherd God's people and serve with humility. A verse that reflects his calling is:

1 Peter 5:2–3 (ESV)

"Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you... being examples to the flock."

We are thankful for Willie's willingness to serve and for the wisdom and experience he brings to Redeemer Fellowship. We look forward to seeing how the Lord continues to use him to strengthen and encourage our church family.

We are pleased to introduce Anton Richter, who began serving as an elder at Redeemer Fellowship in July 2026. At 61 years of age, Anton has a heart for serving Christ and His church, with a desire to glorify God by faithfully shepherding His people and encouraging them to persevere to the end.

Life and Service

Anton is a qualified Metallurgical Engineer and has sought to honour the Lord through both his professional life and his service in the church. He and his family joined Redeemer Fellowship in 2023 and have been actively involved in the life of the church ever since. Anton's desire is to serve God's people for His glory and to encourage believers to remain steadfast in their faith.

Family

Anton has been married to his wife, Antoinette, since 1990. They have two sons and are thankful for God's faithfulness throughout their family life.

Guided by Scripture

As an elder, Anton seeks to faithfully shepherd God's people and encourage them to remain steadfast in Christ. A verse that reflects his desire is:

Hebrews 10:23–24 (ESV)

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works."

We are thankful that the Lord has brought Anton and his family to Redeemer Fellowship. His desire to faithfully serve Christ and encourage others to remain steadfast in their faith is a blessing to our church. We pray that God will continue to use him as he serves the body with humility, wisdom, and a heart that seeks to glorify Him
