1 Samuel 16:13 NIV
[13] So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. Samuel then went to Ramah.
being anointed is an advantage. David did not know how to speak to God, he did not even know what was happening but Samuel anointed him. His life was no longer the same.
When he face the lions he did not pray but he faced them and killed them. Anointing is an advantage.
You may think you are lucky. Is not luck, you are anointed. When your anointed you carry the spirit of God, anything that fights you will not overcome you because you have what is called an advantage which is the anointing.
As you are going home, go and try again, go and face that giant. Go and face that demon that harass your family, every sickness in your bloodline and every pattern you suspect in your family. Go and address it, your not alone now, you have come to the anointing service.
You can't be anointed and remain the same.
David was no longer the same. Authority has now come....
1 Samuel 16:14 NIV
[14] Now the Spirit of the Lord had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord tormented him.
Nothing is painful like when is God permitting evil things to happen over your life. No prayer can help you. Only Repantance can help you, only if the door is still open. With Saul it was over. He was rejected and his throne was already given to David.
David did not know he, was anointed to become a king, God has to allow him to go through every process to prepare him.
We have, destroyed people revealing who they are without any training and going any discipleship process and mentorship.
1 Samuel 16:18 NIV
[18] One of the servants answered, “I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is a brave man and a warrior. He speaks well and is a fine-looking man. And the Lord is with him.”
The Lord was with David. People are watching.
Do everything with all your heart.
Anointing separate us.
David was not just a man who plays a lyre, he, was not only playing a keyboard or singing, or playing a, drum or ushering but he was anointed. He was a warrior, he was brave, he knows how to speak and God was with him.
This man was a, complete becoming king.
1 Samuel 16:21 NIV
[21] David came to Saul and entered his service. Saul liked him very much, and David became one of his armor-bearers.
Armour - bearer meaning the one who carry the weapon of the king. David was one of the kings team. He did not know he was the king in the making. God can cause destruction just to elevate you. He can just cause conflicts, confusions and offenses just to raise and elevate someone.
David was now learning how things are done in the palace.
Though he was helping the king to be better he was also learning mistakes not to commit when he become a king.
God has a, way of putting you close for what you will become tomorrow. Take everything you are facing in life serious. God is making you.
You are not only anointed to preach, you are anointed for more than that. Rise and Go and fight for your family.
The Anointing speaks. Understand what you carry.
When your anointed you are on an advantage side. Go and face the lions and kill them.
