Thanksgiving 2026

Thanksgiving Day commemorates God's perfect work. On the first Sunday of October, a divine service is held in which gratitude is expressed for God's faithfulness to His creation.

On this occasion, believers are called to bring a special offering of thanks to our heavenly Father and reflect on how we can show our gratitude to God.

🎶Paarl District Friendship Choral | 5 September 2026 🎶

On Saturday, 5 September 2026, friends and members of Paarl District gathered at New Orleans Congregation for an afternoon of music, fellowship and praise.

Our Sunday School Choir, Mixed Choir and Male Choir each shared beautiful musical offerings, expressing their love for God and joy in serving Him together.

The choral opened with a prayer by Apostle Gavin Van Der Hoven, making it a meaningful occasion as it was his last choral with the Paarl District. We thank him for his guidance and fellowship and wish him God’s continued blessing.

The afternoon closed with a prayer by District Rector Peter Groenewald, giving thanks for the occasion and placing the district and its members in God’s care.

Thank you to all in attendance who helped make this Friendship Choral a blessed and memorable event.
May the songs we shared continue to strengthen our faith and bring glory to God.

Final preparations for Paarl District Friendship Choral

On Thursday, 3 September 2026, the Paarl District Mixed Choir gathered at New Orleans Congregation for their final rehearsal in preparation for the upcoming Paarl District Friendship Choral.

Priest Allister Messina opened the rehearsal with prayer, after which the choir members carefully prepared and refined their musical contributions, bringing together the fruits of many rehearsals, dedication, and commitment.

As the final preparations drew to a close, Evangelist Johannes Williams concluded the evening with prayer, entrusting the choir and the upcoming Friendship Choral into God’s gracious care.

The Friendship Choral will take place on Saturday, 5 September 2026, at 12h00 in New Orleans Congregation, where the choir looks forward to sharing their musical offerings in a spirit of friendship, fellowship, and praise.
